Ugh. New PoE gear is all fucking Strength stat again. NO ONE NEEDS 500+ FUCKING STRENGTH.

Annoying that the 34 PoE features a void burn round again. Never got Word of Crota from the raid, only got Atheon's Epilogue. Then again, I've got the 365 void HMG. Sounds like the boss is easier again this week, so might manage the whole thing three times.

Anyway, on that topic, might have to start running hard mode Vault of Glass (for Fatebringer) and Crota's End (for Word of Crota) if any of you guys are looking for groups. Should have 3 decent level 34s ready to go, including myself.

I tried running the Level 32 solo with my Hunter I got to 34 after Iron Banner (using second character for a third Etheric Light).

Got past the Cabal in the first chamber. I loathe that enemy type in all honesty, but I made it. Second chamber was the Fallen, but the Modifier was Lightswitch.

Guess how long I lasted...

Ha, yeah, that one is a pain. I think the later one where you deal more damage while airborne is actually tougher because it throws so many Vandal and Captain majors at you.

Managed three nightfalls and three 32 PoEs last night. And I ascended my vision of confluence (completely wrecked in the nightfall, not as useful in 32 PoE)

Might get through three level 34s this week, as well. Yay.

1. Only way I could think to get the old ascendant materials is from Vault of Glass. If Atomsk is correct, the older story missions as daily heroics is an interesting and handy one.

I have plenty of shards but not so much energy (I've got a fair few old weapons I held onto but never quite finished levelling up), and I know the Speaker does some sorts of "currency" conversion, but I think that's just for motes or glimmer. I'd say to pay the Speaker a visit with some motes or whatever and see if he offers anything (the options only show up based on what you're carrying).

2. From what I can tell, Variks cycles through the whole set of armour (arms, chest, helmet, legs) week to week but the perks and stats are randomised. Despite the fact that every fucking piece sold has been solely strength, the bonus perks have varied between vs. Hive and vs. Fallen (if I recall) and that's the nature of RNG. So, if you were forced to get to 34 using the sold stuff, you'll probably have a really terrible build that you'll still want to work on.

Did the level 34 PoE twice last night inside an hour and a half. It was a cakewalk. Especially now that I've ascended my Vision of Confluence, which is a decent wizard-killer. And if that's all the bosses seen, then seems like my fireteam could comfortably get through it each week. Yay.

I went Mote crazy one day trying to reroll some of my new weapons. I spent all my Shards and Energy to get Motes right away, but now I'm looking for Energy for a few weapons. The Speaker makes it an even trade plus 50 Glimmer. If you want a Mote of Light, that's worth 2 Shards. Not worth it unless you were really desperate because Motes drop way more often with House of Wolves.

Alright, my plan of upgrade:

After the weekly reset I'll be able to get all my Guardians to level 32 with Vanguard gear (I could actually get my Titan and Warlock up to 32 this week, but I doubt I'm gonna be able to grind out ~140 marks before tomorrow).

Once at 32 I can do the level 32 Prison of Elders for armor cores.  Once per week on all three Guardians, and with one piece of armor available each week, I have them all up to 34 (with a 100% strength build) in 3 weeks (possibly 4 due to my exotic pieces).

Once at 34 with Variks' jacked all-strength build I can do the 34 and potentially 35 each week to get Etheric Light to actually upgrade my main gear, resulting in a balanced 34 build.  Depending on whether I am able to do the 35 or not it will take 2-3 weeks to get all the Etheric Light I need for my armor.

All told I'm looking at 5-6 weeks to get all three of my guardians up to a balanced 34.  Then I'll have to worry about upgrading my weapons.

The drop rates in PvP are insane (well, relatively, to what I'm doing now). I got 2 Legendary weapons (scout rifle and a shotgun! woot!) in 15 games, and 2 better blue armors (+24/26 light) than the one from engrams, plus around 4 motes of light. And it's not that bad, win or lose you get at least 4 marks you can spend on an armor piece, I already have enough to buy 1 now. Way faster than grinding Vanguard points. I should have attempted this way before. Now I know how to gear my Titan who is sitting at level 11. I find I do well on Clashes than Skirmishes, probably being carried by 5 guys is better than being carried by 3 :P

I also got my first Exotic Weapon Bounty! Choice of Thorn, Bad Juju, or Invective. Leaning towards the shotgun, as I use shotguns a lot (I play with friends so I know someone will revive me in the likely event that I die!). Heard a lot about Thorn, but I hate hand cannons + the requirements are brutal. But I don't know yet. My weapons are fine for now.
