Okay so I've hit Light Level 290 and I fear I've ran out of ways to increase that without Raiding. Is that pretty much accurate?

Nah, you can get up to 300 without raiding, though it slows down considerably after 290.

It's not common, but I do get blue/rare engrams to Light levels above 290. Problem though is that you're still prone to getting a lot of 260-270 armor.

I've also ran out of Weapon Parts. It's easier to level weapons now, but leveling and infusing has resulted in me losing my supply of Weapon Parts like Reforging did in HoW.

I've leveled a lot of weapons as of late, so if you're not constantly going into strikes and getting weapon blue engrams, it catches up to you. Right now I'm leveling Boolean Gemini, but I haven't been able to actually activate any of its perks. Each time you want to increase the power of a weapon with infusion, that's 10 parts. Another thing is that you might come across a better Legendary as perks have gone back to being random and permanent. So the parts you used for that previous weapon are wasted as you only get so many back from dismantling.

I still have a healthy supply of armor pieces because, again, you're bound to get a lot of 260-270 armor. With weapons, I'm having better luck in getting more powerful weapons, but infusing might only give you a few points for the infused weapon.

Yeah, what I meant. Just infusing weapons is a slower process as when you finally get a higher leveled weapon, you're more than likely only infusing for 6-8 points. For Exotics, it requires an Exotic Shard each time, which Xur no longer sells individually.

I've heard that for players who got the Black Spindle from the Daily Heroic, when you go to repurchase it, it's at Light 300. That way it has been a good resource for them in leveling other weapons.

Yeah. Hence why I am low on weapon parts, hehe. :P

I just got a bit indecisive with weapon choices and then got greedy with having auto rifle, pulse rifle and scout rifle options alongside sidearm, shotgun, sniper, machine gun, rocket launcher... Had to be raid ready with a couple of different setups.

With most setups now, I can reach 299/300. I'll see what the raid brings tomorrow, now that I have over 20 moldering shards.

Oh boy, you should try it! I use it in most situations because of pure survivability. With the right setup, I have two grenades (and one great for zoning), two melees, as well as being able to get an overshield with the melee charge and a self revive for when things go very wrong.

Of course, I was mostly doing endgame activities where stuff like nightfalls (really hard versions of strikes) used to kick you back to orbit if the team wiped, so the revive thing was many a team-saver. It's nice that I no longer need to rely on that so much, but I still vibe with those subclass abilities so well.

First things first: NIGHTSTALKER!!! ^ But yes, Nightstalker is great.

Court of Oryx and Strike playlists will net you lots of engrams. It doesn't even have to be the heroic playlist. After doing 3 of those, you can go ahead and play the level 36 ones, it'll net you lots of engrams as well. Don't forget to use 3oC for the boss and receive a random engram. For Court of Oryx, walk (not run) to the Hall of souls, and if you see some people in the court, join up. You could just help kill or use your runes if you want (I save T2s and T3s for the calcified fragments), you'll end up with lots of engrams. It's faster than strikes, even. Also got my 296 blue ghost from it. Now if I could just get at least a 291 ghost I could infuse up my legendary ghosts, but oh well.

Also, these are the emotes. I will probably buy a lot of these. Hope it's $2 at most though. IDK. FFXIII-2 costumes where 2.99-3.99 and I still bought them.

Yeah, but I wanna be a dark warlock. Not some sissy MLP rainbow wizard. :)

Uh, I think you mean "a flaming beacon that burns with the heat of a thousand suns"!

Running Voidwalker with Obsidian Mind and Bad Juju is supremely fun though.

Of the emotes, I would be tempted to buy the formal bow but I find the wave really funny... "Hi, Oryx!" "Hi, giant ball of death!" "Hi, Atheon!"

So do we get a free one, then everything is paid? Thought I read that somewhere last week. Either way, I'm getting the Carlton (Enthusiastic)!

EDIT: Mobile Auto-correct.

"The Carlton" is, of course, a legendary emote. So, it requires purchasing another 500 silver just to get it.

*drop to knees "NOOOOOO!" emote*

Managed another raid completion last night. Went pretty smooth overall, considering we had one newbie. Bit miffed with the rewards I got though. A solar shotgun, a slightly higher value chestpiece, some boots and Thunderlord (but only 290). I had 20 moldering shards as well. Was hoping for at least the pulse or scout rifle.

Oh, well, at least it's an easy evening's clear.
