Its looking good. Kind of disappointed that the trailer had no dialogue, story or anything. But the people who are making it have been saying several times how it's a real AC game, its suppose to be a really huge map and have no loading times between areas.

I was also about to kick myself for not waiting for the white Vita since I love white electronics, but I really wouldnt have waited til October 30th. Gravity Rush comes out next week. The hell with that.

Here's the Youtube version for those who are avoiding Kotaku.

Its looking fantastic. Looks like a real Assassin's Creed game.

Two things about it bug me though: all the quotes about it "looking" good. I hate when games and films do that. Dont quote shit til its actually out and got reviewed.
And the other is that this all looks like real actual gameplay, but theyre using cinematic camera angles. That can be misleading. They need to show some real actual gameplay with the HUD and everything.

I am confident that it is exactly what it looks like. Ubisoft has its flaws, but I never thought of them as a company that "fakes" trailers.

BTW, this is would be perfect for a bundle. Id love to get AC3 and Liberation for a few(10 or 20 probably) bucks more. Id jizz. Edited by Strangelove

I'd be stoked too, but I don't think we're that lucky since they're completely different games and (as of now) there's not much else coming out on the Vita this autumn, so they'll probably have most of the game hungry Vita owners picking it up.

Also, visually, the game looks outstanding.

This was explained shortly after the first trailer for liberation was released: it's not an actual historical story. Its a kind of simulation.

"Liberation is not viewed through the memories of series protagonist Desmond Miles; rather it is a "product" created by Abstergo who wish to show a gray area of the Assassin/Templar conflict through the eyes of an Assassin. Aveline will cross paths with Assassin's Creed III protagonist Connor Kenway."

I wonder if that will be explained in the game because it makes no sense to me. Does it mean anyone could plug in to the animus and play as her? It also doesn't seem to rule out any modern elements, e.g. it could give a bit of the templars perspective instead of just the assassins'.

Also, if it's made by abstergo wouldn't they just make Aveline completely evil/stupid.

edit: I hope none of this is explained in that trailer as I'm trying not to watch them so apologies in advance if it is.

I played for a little more than an hour yesterday. First impressions are that I like the persona system, with slave/assassin/lady disguises, but I don't like that they changed the controls for no apparent reason. I'm not even talking about touch screen controls, I mean the buttons for free running and combat and stuff. They changed it seemingly just for the sake of changing it, which leads to frustration when my muscle memory I've built up over the last 5 years has me do the wrong thing.
