Mr W Phallus
Dammit Amnesia: The Dark Descent, how did you know underwater monster's are my greatest fear in videogames? I'm currently in the machine room, trying to puzzle out 'flow'.
Hocking
Magicka Wasn't too keen on the demo, but after watching some 'Lets Play' videos I decided to pick it up via Steam. I think a lot of it is getting used to the controls. I spent most of my time in the demo trying to walk with WASD and accidentally casting spells. deanb
Yeah I'm not keen on the controls. I've heard if you have a macro enabled keyboard that can come in very handy.
Johnny
I don't understand. Have none of you people played Torchlight or Diablo?
Hocking
That makes sense, trying to cast the correct spells is pretty annoying. I'm pretty much just spamming Arcane Fireballs and healing. Never played Diablo or Torchlight. Magicka is pretty much the first game of that style that I've played.
P4: Gritty Reboot
I played it co-op on the same PC with my wife, and the gamepad controls are even worse.
MetalCaveman
Dawn of War: Winter Assault. It's cool to play as the Imperial Guard but they seem to be really weak in the campaign, in skirmish they have some really cool units. I thought Magicka was a pretty bad game in SP the first few times I played it in the demo, but when I started the coop it became a lot more fun. And yeah, agreed on the controls. Not great, but for button mashing and trying to figure out certain spells they're actually pretty good. I'm more of the type to just spam ARSE mines, though. deanb
SP sucks mainly because the game has little to no sense of scaling. It's pretty much a 2 players and up kind of game.
TCP
I started inFamous this weekend. I originally bought it a few months ago.. I must have been in a bad mood or something, because the characters irritated me to the point that I stopped playing after getting to the food drop (about 5 minutes into the game). However, I put it in on Saturday, hoping I could get some quick easy trophies and then found out that I really like the game. It reminds me a lot of Assassin's Creed, except instead of hidden blades you shoot electricity. I have found it a little tedious, and Cole doesn't always go where you want him to, but hopefully that's corrected in the sequel.
Faiblesse Des Sens
What do you mean doesn't go where you want him to? I had no issues of the sort you just have to get used to the momentum the game uses for the rails and stuff like that.
Mal
Fallout 3. I'm doing a full replay to go through all the DLCs. I did Anchorage (Alright), Mothership Zeta (Pretty good) and The Pitt (Easy as hell) already. Currently on Point Lookout. Never knew mutant rednecks pack so much punch. After Fallout 3, its back to Oblivion. Then on to New Vegas.
toxicitizen
I've been playing The Witcher. So far I'm loving the hell out of it. I'm pretty sure I'm nearing the end of Chapter II and I've been told it really picks up in Chapter III, so I'm looking forward to that. deanb
Yeah he can be a bit indecisive. tbh Ezio sometimes has the same issues. Both of them suffer from "no I only wanted to drop to the lower ledge not to my death"-itus. As for the sequel you get many more ways to travel about so the platforming can fade away quite a bit. Baconrath
I'm playing Ocarina of Time 3D and enjoying it. I'm always amazed just how much content was crammed into that game. I never have found all the skull tokens or all the soft earth patches, and I'm sure there are other side quests I haven't found and don't even know exist. I'm also playing Mega Man Zero Collection. There's a big big problems with Mega Man Zero, you can't restart a level when you die, you need to go back to the last place you saved. Mega Man Zero is STUPID hard. This is making progress... frustrating. MMZ 2, 3, and 4 all fixed this though, so I'm just trying to motivate myself to power through it so I can get to the rest of the games. Is that one of the MMZ games where you have to S-rank a boss to get its ability?

Yeh this problem crops up a fair bit in the Assassin's Creed games and it can be incredibly annoying, especially when they decided to go and put arbitrary time limits on the Secret Location platforming sections. -.- The games designed more for speed than actual precision, I was kinda surprised the platforming sections were so well received. (I completed Brotherhood the other day, this has been weighing on my mind. XD )

One of the chaps I know has been wanting me to get it for awhile, but he is currently in America visiting his partner, so his online time is a bit erratic. CorgiShinobi
Assassin's Creed II. I really am getting into it. The only trophy I've actually tried to get is the Street Cleaner. This is where I learned that you're technically not suppose to kill citizens. I went to kill an official, and thinking I didn't need to lock-on, I accidentally killed two citizens. Turns out I need to dump five in one hay bale, and for having almost gotten into trouble I only did four thinking it was an overall progress deal. Either way, having a blast and it's one of the best games I've gotten for $5.
Yantelope
I've been playing through AC2 a second time and man I love this game. My compy is downstairs and my wife has been feeling sick so I've been stuck upstairs watching the child. Deus Ex will have to wait anther day..... Battra92
Kirby's Dreamland 2. For some reason I remember Kirby games NOT being such cake walks. I just started yesterday and I'm already at world 5 of 7. :-/
Yantelope
getting all the rainbow drops or whatever can be a little tough. The one in the water world in particular I remember giving me fits. Also I think the "true" boss is a little tough. Hope that isn't too spoilery. And usually it's more like a C or a D.
deanb
Well I'm not currently playing Dungeon Keeper 2 because it's a pretty disappointing port. From what I'm reading they just removed the CD check. I already own the CD. Just it doesn't work on Win 7 so I was hoping that GoG would release it so it would run on Win 7 and it's as bad as my CD version. I now own 2 versions of Dungeon Keeper 2 that don't work ¬_¬

Before walkthroughs/FAQs, finding the Rainbow Drops and facing the true boss was the only thing I couldn't do as a kid.
