TheMightyEthan
I figure I'm just gonna slog through it, because I do enjoy the rest of the game, the plot and so forth. This way I won't have played U2 first and so it won't be even worse by comparison. (Please tell me U2 is better.)
Cyber Rat
Managed to finish all faction quests and the two main quests of Skyrim on one character. He's on level 45 atm though, so considering just stopping there until there's DLC or a really big questline mod.
Hot Heart
This way I won't have played U2 first and so it won't be even worse by comparison. (Please tell me U2 is better.) Fair point. Uncharted 2 is better but there is an over-reliance on bullet sponges towards the end, and one section drags on far too long. Great game overall though. WTF
Uncharted 2 is honestly miles better, With the first game they did focus on a few pointless things like use the six-axis to throw bombs etc that they didn't really finetune the gameplay which they did for 2. Story is also better to be honest. Currently playing Binary Domain and all the Vita games.
TheMightyEthan
Wait does that mean U2 doesn't use sixaxis? Nice. I hate the DS3's sticks (especially an issue in shooters... I can't imagine how this could even be playable with a DS3) so I'm using a 360 controller with adapter but obviously it doesn't have sixaxis so I can't aim grenades more than about 5 feet in front of me. Hot Heart
Plus, grenades are on the off hand in Uncharted 2. So no need to equip them from a weapon menu. Works much better with the flow of the game. I would've assumed Uncharted 1 had an option to turn off SIXAXIS grenade-throwing. Faiblesse Des Sens
... but it did. I remember having to turn it on in the first place.
Hot Heart
That's what I thought but was trying to be polite. ...stupid Ethan.
P4: Gritty Reboot
Playing lots of UT2004 (still not many straight deathmatch games that measure up to it); also hacking through Lego Pirates of the Caribbean that I bought "for my son"; started up with Terraria again; co-oping MW2 missions through also. TheMightyEthan
I don't know if it's because I have the Greatest Hits version or if it's from a patch or what, but there is no option to turn off sixaxis anywhere in the menu in Uncharted 1. Strangelove
If I remember correctly, it was patched in later with the trophies. Are you at least getting trophies? Otherwise, you should update it.
Strangelove
I actually still love Uncharted 1. Its inferior to the other two, but it has a lot of Elena. Shes one of my favorite videogame characters ever.
TheMightyEthan
I am getting trophies. It updated when I first ran the game. No sixaxis option though. *Edit* - Controls Menu: Game Menu: Controller Settings Menu (Hold Down PS Button): It's not in any of the menus. Though I didn't take pictures, I checked Display, Audio, and Language menus just to be sure it wasn't in there either. TheMightyEthan
I'm sorry, that was very argumentative, but if someone could prove me wrong and tell me how to turn off sixaxis you would be my hero.

Strangelove
I envy you. Id do anything to play Uncharted 2 like it was the first time again.
TheMightyEthan
I think you guys were thinking of Uncharted 2 rather than Uncharted 1, cause in 2 motion control is disabled by default and you have to turn it on if you want it. Hot Heart
I know Uncharted 2 is like that. I guess FDS is just remembering all wrong. He even said he had to turn it off; not that it was off by default.
TheMightyEthan
... but it did. Cyber Rat
Started this. Really good first impression so far.
Hot Heart
lol, he said he had to turn it on, meaning it was off by default. That's how it is in Uncharted 2. Then I apologise. Really should just ignore FDS, I guess. Would someone really choose to use SIXAXIS if they didn't have to?!
TheFlyingGerbil
About to start Fable III. I think I'm going to be evil. I'm always a goody two shoes in games and think to my self I'll be evil when I replay it, but I never replay them so always miss out. Did anyone play the DLC? Is it any good as it's on offer at the moment. edit: I couldn't bring myself to be evil, but I bought the traitor's keep DLC, which seemed to be better value than the other one. Kind of annoying that every time you step in the sanctuary John Cleese is trying to sell you crap though. deanb
CS:GO. Much faster rounds than CS:S, we'd been playing for a bit over an hour and the bomb only went off twice. It's rare to get planted at all. I don't know if it's just a tweak to the formula (it's 5vs5), or cos folks are used to COD or what. The map we were on was pretty small too. They're in beta mode atm which means one map at a time, and your weapons are pre-picked for you (though you can earn a bonus grenade). So can't really say much on weapons n stuff. I used to like sniping. Oh tab doesn't open the scoreboard either which is a bummer (I wanted to know how bad my ping was) Oh in the settings it has Desktop Mode n Couch Mode, I may have a looksy into what those mean. Maybe see if it supports a 360 pad n give a spin with that..ya know cos.. Oh I also got Enslaved in the post from Love Film yesterday so gonna give that a spin. I've never had it pick my weapons. Also, multiple maps now after an update a few weeks back. Finally, press tab, don't hold it down.
