TCP
AC3 was probably my favorite game of 2012 (I have yet to play through most of Dishonored). HOWEVER that said... in the early missions I found combat difficult, usually because I lost track of Connor, the fights were just too busy with too many enemies at once. That said, I do believe Ubisoft did a great job at improving combat, I'd always avoid combat in the Ezio games, but I really found myself enjoying it in AC3, once I got good at it. They also did a good job of taking that same system and putting it into Liberation. The thing with Liberation is some features, like whistling from hiding spots, is strangely missing. toxicitizen
Since Assassin's Creed III turned out to be pretty much unplayable on my rig, I had to find my open-world fix elsewhere. So I started playing Sleeping Dogs. So far it's pretty damn good. I'm really digging the Hong Kong setting and martial arts vibe. It's a nice change from the usual american gangster stuff these kinds of game usually have. Other than that I've been slowly playing through Hitman: Absolution. It's far from perfect but fuck the haters, I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
TheMightyEthan
Finished the first two episodes. It's just as great as everyone says it is.
Vecha
Going back and forth between Gothic 3 and Kingdom of Amalur...both solid 7 - 7.5 out of ten wrpg...both give me something different. Really hoping I get witcher 2 and dragons dogma for Xmas. And persona 4 while I'm at it!
Faiblesse Des Sens
Finally at the end of TL2. It's been fun but a bit mindless. That's to be expected of the genre though.

Strangelove
Why am I the only one playing Stranger's Wrath? Its fucking amazing and its almost on every platform now(any platform worth a damn anyways). Fucking get it.
madbassman39
I jumped back into GW2. Strangelove: I've always wanted to play Strangers Wrath, but never got around to it. I'm a huge fan of the Oddworld series. Does anyone know if Strangers Wrath is part of their Oddworld Quintology or just a side game? Prepost Edit: A little research tells me that its no part of the Oddworld Quintology, neither is the first game I played, Abe's Exodus. toxicitizen
Why am I the only one playing Stranger's Wrath? Its fucking amazing and its almost on every platform now(any platform worth a damn anyways). Fucking get it. I was waiting for the HD patch to come out for the PC version, which I think it did a few weeks ago. I'll probably be grabbing it during the Steam holiday sale. Other than that, with finals coming up, I sadly don't have a whole lot of time to game so I've been mostly sticking to shorter titles. And now that they've finally patched in proper gamepad button prompts for Half-Minute Hero, I've been playing that. It's a great game to pick up for short bursts as most levels tend to last only a minute or two.
Little Pirate
Fallout New Vegas. I think one of the reasons I love Bethseda games so much is how hilarious some of the glitches can be. As of late every time I hack someone with a cleaver they've been getting these ridiculously oversized hands when they die. I have no clue how this is happening but it's so damn funny. Kind of wish I had a method to record this.

deanb
I have being playing Sims 3. I made my house a Doctor Who household: http://steamcommunity.com/id/deanbmmv/screenshots/?appid=47890 (Aim is to maybe style the house fittingly too, that'd take a bit of time mind). John Smith works at the local laboratory and in his spare time upgrades the house. Rory works at the hospital and in his spare time works out. And Amy works at the theatre and in her spare time plays guitar. Sims is a lot more micro-managey than I remember. But I do like the addition of the ambitions, and the personal achievements and stuff. Getting a career started is much simpler though. In ye olden days it'd take a fair while of in-game time to have a job come up that works out fine, now you just head to the place of work and get an entry level position. If only real life was so simple. Also setting up Sims 3, especially when it comes to online accounts, is a pain in the ass. EA just really need to knuckle down and make a proper Origin Network or something instead of this half arsed thing they've got going on that had me picking from several identities including some I'm pretty sure aren't for EA games at all and some being "dragonage_03384908320" and "masseffect_3094832042". I'm still not sure it's sorted properly, but at least I got the anti-piracy town.
CrowKnow
Currently playing Driver San Francisco and Darksiders 2 Driver has been pretty interesting so far, the shift mechanic and the premise of the story have been interesting so far. Major complaints so far would be having to constantly be checking the minimap to know where I'm going, some of the missions are terrible (Hey, you have to do these tricks we never told you about which happen to be awkward to trigger, without hitting any object more than 3 times and do it under 30 or so seconds) or (Linear getaway sequence where the cop cars are faster than you, every 10-20 seconds a cop car spawns in front of you trying to hit you head on and you can't take any detours that would normally help you lose them) Darksiders 2 Started up the game at the highest difficulty and had a blast fighting this optional boss even though every attack could 1-shot me. Restarting the battle took literally 2-3 seconds (just had to talk to an npc) and it was fairly rewarding when I won. Now I'm stuck on the 2nd real boss of the game, this one also 1 shots me, but also has a nearly undodgeable attack that locks you in place and drains 3/4's of your health. Lowered the difficulty to normal and now the boss "only" does 3/4's of my health per hit instead of the instant kill. Every time I die I get to enjoy walking 10 or so seconds to the boss then enduring the same unskippable cutscene. Also decided to learn summoning skills instead of fighting ones... I can summon 2 ghouls that get instantly killed by every monster I've fought so far and do 3 damage per hit opposed to my 100-300. So... the fun I'm having with this game has taken somewhat of a nose dive. /endrant Not sure if I'll get around to finishing either of these Edited December 22, 2012 by CrowKnow

P4: Gritty Reboot
New Super Mario Bros. 2 (Awesome) Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Amazing) Serious Sam 3 (Hilarious) Saints Row The Third (On the fence about this one) CSGO (Good, needs more control over server options/bots) Chaos Theory (Really good) Dead Island (Needed more time in the oven)
Faiblesse Des Sens
Finally playing STALKER. Played vanilla for an hour or two then installed Complete + realistic aiming. It feels way too easy now with realistic aiming so I'm probably going to turn the difficulty up. Amazing, amazing game so far in the first 6-8 hours. Little Pirate
Scribblenauts has been very addicting. I love coming up with malicious, twisted, and clever ways to complete tasks. Which in the end really isn't doing a good deed but I guess it counts. I've yet to try out any editing, but I do plan on customizing things on my own. It's been a while so I don't really remember how the vanilla aiming is but going by the name I would've expected the opposite. You do more damage per bullet and it's easier to aim. I've never fired a gun and I'm not one of those people who obsess over "real gun physics" in video games so I have no idea how it's more realistic. All I know is that when aiming, in general, it's much easier to hit the target you are aiming at.
toxicitizen
I see. I guess maybe there was too much recoil or something. Anyway, constantly seeing The Walking Dead being brought up in GOTY discussions made me want to finally get serious about finish it. I had stopped about halfway through episode 2 a little over a month ago. I just wasn't feeling it at the time. Kinda wish I'd stuck with it back then cause when I picked it up again last night, it got kind insane pretty quickly! I played episode 3 tonight and all I can say is holy shit! Can't wait to play the next one tomorrow.
Mal
A little bit of everything. Scribblenauts Unlimited - Pretty rocking. I love to walk around with a bomb suit, defusing every situation with malice. Miami Hotline - Hard as shit and gives me a headache while I play but man it is fun. Retro City Rampage - A good time killer. Castle Crashers - Surprised me with the amount of grinding it can take to take out some bosses. Mark of the Ninja - Amazing. Don't Starve - Walked in without knowing what I got myself into but its pretty simple even without a wiki (As someone suggested me to use). DO make a fire at night. DON'T got digging up graves, stealing eggs from a giant bird and hitting a giant bird. You'll die. And... oh yeah... World of Tanks.
