Strangelove
I know. Ive been duped too. Thats how I played my first Star Ocean game. I just really like Batman. I like the voice actors in the game. I think i can get it for 20 bucks. I think thats good enough for me. Are you not a fan of Arkham Asylum? Hot Heart
Arkham Asylum has the greatest combat system EVER. I'm not a fan of stealth games but the sections in the game were OK; quite satisfying at times. I liked the atmosphere and explorations aspects too. I also like that the game kept freshening things up slightly, so it never became a slog through repetitive parts (something many games fall foul of). It's not perfect but definitely worth playing. Also, you're the goddamn Batman!
D-K
The "voice actor" for Batman? Whahahaha.. It's just any guy, literally any random guy, screamwhispering with a mouth full of gravel. "I'm batman" lololol

mintycrys
Playing through Eternal Sonata on Encore mode for the last five easy achievements. I will probs never touch it again after that. Then it's off to finish Nier again, and again, and again. I'll probably have Resonance of Fate today, so I'll give that'un a spin, and then after that... 1000 ON DEADLY PREMONITION.
brida
I have no idea how you have the patience to play through eternal sonata more than once fuck that game fuck it so damn hard i've never felt more stupider while playing a game in my LIFE also for added effect you should imagine me saying that while i look completely expressionless and the camera pans extremely close to my face, and just sits there for an awkward ammount of time before letting you go. my mouth should keep moving even after i'm done saying anything. and i should say something like 'derp derp derp'
Strangelove
Eternal Sonata was awful. Such terrible terrible dialogue. I felt my weaboo brain melting out my ears when i played it.

slithy toves
i'm getting demon's souls and 3 dot game heroes for christmas tonight. hopefully i'll have time to actually start playing them this weekend.
D-K
3dot is great, Demon's Souls mocks me from the indefinite backlog pile. I hate it. Eternal Sonata was beautiful, but it wasn't very engaging. I liked the co-op function, but it wasn't redeeming enough. Plus being a second/third player that only gets to make 1 move every 5 minutes is even less engaging.
mintycrys
The dialogue in Eternal Sonata was okay until about Chapter 5 when it became clear that the writers had no intention of finishing the story with anything resembling a comprehensible ending. It was rather disgraceful, actually. I raged pretty hard. A good thing that a runthrough on Encore mode will only take about 50 hours for full completion (minus Mysterious Unison) because I already start with party level 6 which makes battles hella easier, and I don't even need a full runthrough for 1000 GS. I can stop as soon as I collect all the EZI pieces. Then it's back to playing Cavia's depressing little game. Yeah, that's right: I can sit through this pretty turd because I have GS skillz LIKE A BAWSS.
superfrogsavestokyo
Playing Oblivion and Super Meat Boy atm. Felt great about finishing the first boss level ... until I started the hospital stage . I really need to hook up this Wii, so I could get started on Epic Mickey. CorgiShinobi
I'm saddened that I won't get the chance to play Super Meat Boy... Freakin' file size limitation! I seriously haven't spent a dime at the Wii Store in ages. I still have my 400 points from, like, over a year ago!

TheMightyEthan
Minty, I can't understand how you can force yourself all the way through Deadly Premonition. Sure the dialog and everything was hilarious, but the haunted area parts are just so terrible I can't make myself play it.
mintycrys
The only bad haunted part, to me, was the fucking sawmill that just went on and on and on and on and oh there's another floor well fucking hell i'll just play it too and on and on
TheMightyEthan
Those haunted parts... the gameplay is just awful.

BrainHurtBoy...2
So could someone explain the title of Demon's Souls to me? Is it just a case of Engrish? Do they actually mean Demons' Souls, or is the primary antagonist some sort of many-souled abomination?
Akuam4n
So could someone explain the title of Demon's Souls to me? Is it just a case of Engrish? Do they actually mean Demons' Souls, or is the primary antagonist some sort of many-souled abomination? Well, the souls are owned by the demons, and that's what the games about, so they named it that. I don't get it. xD I'll also plug the game, GO BUY IT, AND PLAY IT. You will want to blow up your PS3, but it's worth every second. Oh, and I'm playing the witcher. Chapter III, halfway done. Love it. Hot Heart
I love Yahtzee's thing about Demon's Souls. 'Demonzzz souls. That's Demon's Souls, not Demon Soul. Although, they both mean the same thing, so why'd they go for the one that's incredibly awkward to say? I don't know. Unless they've been locked in a cupboard for two thousand years and have never heard spoken English which, considering it's a Japanese game, could well be the case.' Tinkelp
Those haunted parts... the gameplay is just awful. There is no excusing the combat in Deadly Premonition but once you're past the sawmill you're done with the worst of it. There's a number of infinite-ammo guns to pick up that makes the combat more tolerable.

I'm pretty close to the end but it's always been the "Well I guess I can play Eternal Sonata until a better game comes along" kind of game. Very meh and I love Bamco's JRPGs. Eternal Sonata was awful. Such terrible terrible dialogue. I felt my weaboo brain melting out my ears when i played it. I raged at the longest death scene in history. Seriously, Hamlet ain't got nothing on Eternal Sonata. Anyway, I'm going to be starting a new game tonight and I think I will be diving into Super Paper Mario. I want to start Record of Agarest War but I know I won't have the time to put into it to actually give it a good play though. Tales of Vesperia is a higher priority anyway.
