deanb
Next to nothing. Struggling to just get into games. Got a full weekend to myself coming up though so might get into something then. Might do Awakenings, then I can remove DA:U from my HDD as it takes up a fair chunk of space. Thursday Next
The only difficulty spike in Golden Abyss was the annoying touch-screen fight with the fat bloke at the end. On crushing it was a right PITA. Lately I have been playing New Little King's Story. Makes me want to play Overlord. I love that game. Shame a stupid glitch forced me to stop playing. Thursday Next
Not seen that film... Wreck it Ralph is it? Bug was well annoying. During a quest moved pair of sticks so my minions could lift a bit of scenery to stop the infernal repeating play of doom. Sticks safely located on scenery I decided to go outside. Saved. Quit. Went back to the game to find that one stick was not on the wheel. "Ho hum" thought I, I'll just go get that stick again. But alas, the stick was gone. Forever. And thus I never played again. I believe they actually patched that glitch. I hit it too, if it's the one I'm thinking of.
toxicitizen
All of my classes have dropped big assignments on my lap this week and I've got midterms coming up soon. So, obviously, now is the perfect time to get back into Dark Souls! Played for a few hours tonight and I'll probably play some more before heading to bed. I'm not really planning on making it my main focus but, now that Dark Souls II is confirmed to be coming out in march, I'd really like to have this one beaten before then. So the plan is for it to be my go-to game whenever I have free time and nothing new to play.
Mal
YES. I can't fight it anymore. It goes DOKI DOKI within me whenever I come across tanks*. Tanks are back on the menu and apparently I still got it after being out of World of Tanks for months. I need more tanks games. *Not really. Edit: They added ways to get premium status with gameplay in addition to missions that can be undertaken to get credit faster. I like that. Faiblesse Des Sens
Like the rest of the world I've been playing GTAV this week. About 10 hours in. It's a fun, well-made game. But really... it's just GTA. I just can't get obsessed over it like I used to.
Little Pirate
First Phoenix Wright game (for the DS with the extra case involved). Loved it! Gonna try and play through the rest so I'm all caught up when the new release comes out.

Funnily enough I was playing it at my friends house who kept pointing out all of these cool things that were happening with the physics and gameplay and I repeatedly had to keep reminding him that 90% of what he was seeing was in GTA4. But since it's not thrown in your face people missed it. GTA4 was a great game played by shitty people.

I've been playing GTA V, some cookie clicker, and a tad smidgen of game dev tycoon Loving GTA V...just waiting for the one mission to send me over the edge into losing my shit. Always happens with GTA games. Thankfully...it wasn't until the last mission in GTA IV. Really enjoyed GTA IV...just didn't like/enjoy/whatever the characters...and really missed the humor that was just overflowing(at least for my tastes) in III/Vice City/San Andreas...and of course V. TheMightyEthan
I hope the next one they do is in Vice City. That one had my favorite aesthetic.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Am I the only one who is tired of all of these cities? They should do something completely new. Maybe go international. Hell it's been long enough since The Getaway. Do London if we're just choosing places they've already done.
TheMightyEthan
I never played GTA London, but Vice City is definitely my favorite GTA game thus far. Like I said, I love the aesthetic. Of course if they want to do something entirely new that's fine too, I was just thinking of the ones they've already done. Faiblesse Des Sens
IDK... would a modern Miami be as interesting? I don't think it would be. That's very much a "place and a time" sort of game.
toxicitizen
Yeah, Vice City might as well have been called Grand Theft Auto: 80s. I feel like the time period was more important than the city itself on that one.

Luftwaffles
FIFA 14 I'm a whore. I should probably be playing GTA V, since it's out too, and it's a better game, but fuck it, I love me some FIFA.

It's not like they're bound by reality.
Mr. GOH!
Playing Rome 2. I can see why it gets a lot of hate for the long waits between turns, but otherwise I'm loving it. It's a Total War game, so I expect a certain amount of AI jankiness.
Faiblesse Des Sens
A week later than everyone else I got to Trevor in GTAV. I think I'll beat it by the time GTA Online is out. IDK... would a modern Miami be as interesting? I don't think it would be. That's very much a "place and a time" sort of game. Yeah, Vice City might as well have been called Grand Theft Auto: 80s.
TheMightyEthan
What I meant was that they're not creating a realistic simulation of an actual city, they're satirizing society, which necessarily includes leeway in how you approach the satire. It's not as though society in the 80's is so different from now that it's unrecognizable. I'd have to play Vice City again to be sure, but I'm fairly confident the things I liked about the feel of it (sorry I can't be more specific than that, it's been 10 years) could survive the transition to a modern setting.
