Strangelove
It's strange that reviewers and gamers both hate almost all fps campaigns, but no developer tries to fix it and give us something also like the half life series did. I know multiplayer is what most fps players want to be great, but a lot of us still care about singleplayer. Not to mention that goty lists consists of mostly single player ganes. You'd think they'd want some of that acclaim. The only games that I feel try hard to give you a good single player fps are the resistance and Killzone series. No one else gives a shit. That's why I vastly prefer tps.

Saturnine Tenshi
Wild mages are a helluva drug. I'm glad they added them to the Enhanced Edition. More glad they added Neera; she's great. I'm running a party with two wild mages right now, but the other isn't my character. I do keep only Nahal's Reckless Dweomer on Neera. Shit's crazy. A random Sunfire incinerated the entire party in that shot. It's a good thing the people I'm playing with are equally appreciative of chaos. Edit: Not allowed to post blimp image extensions. :< Edit 2: I also quit Rogue Legacy because final bosses with multiple forms without save points between are a huge peeve of mine. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that's the one thing I feel like Shadow Fall is lacking. I would fucking love to play me some coop. Although it is a little bit more stealth-heavy than Halo, so that wouldn't work as well coop. There's no reason you couldn't just go in Rambo-style if you wanted though. Strangelove
Online options in most videogames are always so wonky and weird. I dont understand why Lego Marvel doesnt have online co-op, only local. It seems any time I want to play online theres no online co-op and every time I want to play local multiplayer, theres no such thing. Thats also what bothered me about Dead Space 3. It would have been awesome with a friend playing together int he same room.
TheMightyEthan
Apparently they are going to be adding an online Horde Mode to Shadow Fall as DLC, which could be cool. But yeah, it doesn't make any sense why the Lego games wouldn't have online coop. To protect the childrens from predators?
madbassman39
Does the PC version of Lego Marvels have a multiplayer option? My gf would like to play that with me and I'd rather buy it on Steam than my PS3/Xbox.

TheMightyEthan
The Steam page lists local co-op on the features.
Faiblesse Des Sens
You can only fight Russia/China/Brown people so many times and still give a shit about why you're doing it. I played the first 2 missions and they don't even bother to explain anything. You just suddenly start out in the first mission shooting people and then later in the mission (actually, I think near the very end) you learn that you found some sort of vital intel. Then in the next mission they don't explain what the intel is exactly but now you need to rescue some VIPs. Why? Who the fuck knows. Something about preventing a war with China. Then of course, during the mission, you basically start war with China. At least it's real perrrrttttty!
Mr. GOH!
PC Lego marvels has co-op, but I think someone has to play using the keyboard and mouse. I have accidentally activated the co-op many times when switching to the steam menus because you can just hit a key on the keyboard to drop in. toxicitizen
I've been playing the Hearthstone beta on and off the past couple weeks. I'm fucking terrible at this kind of card games, so that usually puts me off them entirely. They seem cool on paper but I bought one of the Planeswalkers games a couple years back and couldn't even beat the single-player campaign. It really felt like bashing my head against a wall. That being said, Hearthstone is actually a lot of fun. I dunno, it's kind of a treat to look at. It really has that trademark Blizzard polish. Every single action has this awesome visual feedback to it. I'm still terrible at it. I spent most of my time in practice mode trying to unlock all the classes, and there's still a few I haven't managed to beat yet. But at least I feel like I have a decent grasp on the basics. I guess it's a more streamlined take on the genre because it was fairly easy to wrap my head around. At this point, I mostly need to start learning how to build decks. I played some unranked multiplayer tonight and it was a ton of fun. I even won a few games. I could see myself really getting into this one. Mal
Why am I driving tens of kilometers in Arma 3? Life servers man... it allows me to relive my life as a courier... while driving 200 kmph down a single lane road. No wonder why I flipped and rolled my SUV when I hit a bump at an weird angle. Oddly, I fucking survived that accident. The fine fellows who came on scene to upright my SUV were amazed on how I got to the position I was in. I should invest some time into some bang bang servers and groups. I also should invest in a better mouse and a flight stick so I can play better and actually fly a damn plane. It might even make flying a helicopter easier. Learning how to accelerate and decelerate to get to the spot I want is a challenge. At least I'm not crashing. Luftwaffles
Just a tip, there's 3 speeds in cars. Q makes you inch along slowly, W is a bit faster, and E really make you haul ass. Not sure if you know that or not, but it's not very well explained and most people forget. Edit: If you ever want a group suggestion, I kind of run one with a group of guys. We don't get tons of players each weekend (25ish) and I'm sort of MIA right now without a computer, but they get my wholehearted recommendation. Mal
I don't think the Life servers have those keys enabled. Kind of like how the stances are much more limited. I'm also game for the group but I for sure got to get a better handle on the gun play before I hop in. Luftwaffles
Pretty sure we're still playing A2 mostly. A3's netcode really doesn't lend itself well to anywhere near 40 players.
Mister Jack
I don't have a lot of time to play PS4 at the moment so I started Muramasa on the Vita and plan on playing it in short bursts. I really like it so far but there's one thing that bugs me. The badass female character is actually just the spirit of a man who is possessing her body. That's a pretty minor nitpick but I would have preferred that to not be the case.
Saturnine Tenshi
Saints Row IV, Final Fantasy XIII and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.Saints Row IV is a grand time, and in every way an able successor to III. I especially appreciate the radio drama show that has the game's alien nemesis narrating Pride and Prejudice. The superpowers are fun, and fit perfectly in the blithesome, flippant atmosphere. I can see how it was originally meant to be DLC, but they've expanded upon it enough that I don't think that's really a concern anymore.I returned to FFXIII only to finish the game because I'd like to do so before playing FFXIII-2. Just doing side quests to level my characters for the final dungeon.Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen still hurts my eyes. Not only because it's incredibly ugly-looking. The game is blurry and has contrast issues. Everything is difficult to see, even on a very large TV. But it's free on PS+, so I figured I'd give it another try. Escort quests are still awful. It still does maces—namely the simulated feel of fustigating bone and organs and armor—better than any game I can remember.Oh, playing a Mystic Knight with only a mace. No shield. I wish other classes could use maces. Pawn is a Sorcerer who uses mainly Dark spells.
Mal
Ico. This game is half as old as I am. This is a long time coming. I recall trying to find this for the PS2. Edit: Oh my, the girl can get captured while I'm in a entirely different loaded area. I manage to come back in time after I heard the spooky music. Mal
After one hour of play time, I find it being pretty charming and somewhat cute. Gameplay is straight forward with leading the girl and you whacking Asshai's shadow babies. Leading the girl is a good work around for the weak AI of that era (something devs still struggle with now and for the foreseeable future). Solid I think. danielpholt
I'm about 6-7 hours into Super Mario 3D World, and I think its about to get somewhat more difficult. I've just entered the Bowser world, everything looks like a fiery pit of death. There was me thinking I'd off'd the son of a bitch too. Also playing a little Don't Starve. Died a few times so far; namely because I tend to underestimate how deadly a swarm of spiders can be, but I'm enjoying myself. I just wish i could play it at fullscreen without wanting to rip my eyes out.
NeoStarr
Shadow Warrior 2013. This is the best FPS I've played in a while. Serious Sam gameplay with Red Steel 2 style combos, really long levels, tons of secrets and tributes to find, epic weapons, hilarious dialog. It's the remake Duke Nukem forever wanted to be, really. I loved the original back in the day, and this one is every bit as good (and about half as racist ).
