Mal
If BF4 works fine now then I suppose I can get it to play with my friend. I'll murder someone if they announce BF5 this year though.
Mal
This is indeed a Nihon Falcom game. It's not super difficult but its quite nice. While it can be described as babby's first action-adventure game but I find the setting kind of charming if a bit plain. I kind of wish Falcom expands on something like this in the future. This game is too cute to abandon. Come on, look at Purin.
staySICK
I was still working on Infamous, now I'm playing lots of hearthstone (and probably should work on backlog) while I wait for my PS4's coffin.
Strangelove
Somebody made Stick of Truth playable on Mac, so Ive been playing that. Of course, non-legally. The messed up part is that its not on any of the platforms I want to buy it from. Unless its cheap as hell, im through with buying PS3 games. Had this game been on PS4 or even Vita, or even Mac I would have gladly bought it. Its really awesome. Way more difficult than I thought it would be. I thought itd be baby's first rpg. It's not. TCP
Once again, there's a lot more than just graphical upgrades for PS4. Share option, remote play, suspending to watch Netflix, quickly loading the OS, cross game chat, and performance issues would all be a benefit. SL: South Park is good but not GOTY like some people claim. Wait for the inevitable PS4 version, it'll probably be announced at E3.
Faiblesse Des Sens
So in other words, absolutely nothing that has to do with the game itself, besides the incredibly vague "performance issues."
Strangelove
Personally, I just want to stop supporting the ps3. I kind of want to kill it already. Plus, the OS differences between both is astronomical. Playing on the ps3 seems so slow and cumbersome after getting used to the ps4 and Vita. That's also a problem I have with the wii u. It's slow as hell. I also stopped buying physical discs. I don't want to get more ps3 games. It goes against my desire to kill the ps3 support. I don't want to buy full priced ps3 games digitally either. I only buy digital ps3 stuff because it's cheap as hell during sales. Pretty much everything CP said.
Strangelove
GoW2 on Vita actually isnt a piece of shit. It's almost consistently 30fps and while it's subnative, it's not too fuzzy or pixelated either. It looks good considering all the stuff that happens in those games. Baconrath
I finished up the New Vegas DLC (again). Dead Money wasn't as big of a pain as I remember, but at least it felt like there was more to it than Honest Hearts. So now I'm gonna do a Hassle Hardcore Mode run. Hopefully I can keep the console commands to a minimum. I had to use one to make the NCR my allies because they were attacking me on sight for no reason and that's no fun. deepdoop
I started playing Mercenary Kings with my brother, finally, because we didn't feel like playing Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls at the time and The Elder Scrolls can't draw us in. I really like Mercenary Kings, but the one problem I have with it is the boss battles in the Recruit Rank. When you fight the Steel Soldiers, they run away and move to a different point of the map. I know the developer probably just wanted to stress you out (in a good way) because there are time limits, but it's just more annoying than anything. Aside from that, I had heard good things about it but it's deeper than I expected, and though I heard that it gets repetitive due to its length, I should be okay with it because a lot of games are fairly repetitive if you really think about it. I might start playing Kero Blaster by myself in the near future, but for the most part I'm taking a break from games for another week or two until Mario Kart and Watch Dogs come out, since I might be burning myself out on games. Every now and then I need to take a step back for a little while.
Luftwaffles
First PC game I've played in a very long time (since selling my desktop, basically). I really like it. Wish the difficulty didn't spike quite so much about halfway through, but the combat's good (though slightly X-Com like), dialogue is clever, and the art style is awesome. Pretty sure bugs ruin every game they appear in, however. Especially unkillable ones.
danielpholt
Saints Row IV Yep, it's definitely a Saints Row the Third sequel/Extended DLC. Look, I only paid a few £ for this, so I'm not too bothered, but even with the addition of superpowers I'm already finding myself bored with this city and this game. It's not one i'll remember too fondly. Fun? yes, but a little tired too.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I played it for a little less than 4 hours and went "I'm tired of this." It just was too much like Saints Row 3.

It is "voting with your wallet". I have a PS4 now. I've moved on and I want to play games on my PS4 that take full advantage of it. As such I have been holding off buying PS3 games. I really want Sony, and all the other developers to drop last gen support ASAP so that I can get on with playing actual next gen games. It's human nature to want what suits you.
Mal
Child of Light demo. I wonder if it is meaty enough to give me a good sense of the game. If I like it enough, I'll buy it since I came upon some extra dough.
Mister Jack
I'm giving Demon's Souls ONE more try, and I do mean one. This time around I'm being "coached" by a friend who has gotten platinum trophies in all three Souls games, so if I can't get through it this time even with her advice then fuck it, I give up forever. CorgiShinobi
Just to chime in on the discussion of PS3-PS4 support, I can understand wanting to put more focus on the next generation, but the one thing I've always liked about Sony's approach to video games is continued support of prior generation consoles. Nintendo has always been terrible about their transitions from one generation to the next. The Nintendo 64 died out before the GameCube arrived, and the GameCube was barely relevant if not for Twilight Princess. That all being said, I think this would have been all moot if the PS4 had backwards compatibility. Grabbing the random niche title wouldn't feel so... "counter-intuitive." Mal
The demo has you at level 10 at part 4 of the game. It all ends right before you fight the boss. Overall I got to say that the battle system is pretty cool. You can either slow down an enemy or heal/protect one of your guys during battle. During the action portion of the bar, you can get interrupted but so can the enemies. If you time it right, you could just slaughter the enemies by not allowing them to have a turn. It's a nice twist on the turn based RPG. Combined with the awesome soundtrack and I can see why people like this. I was super pumped to fight the boss but then the demo cockblocked me. I'm going to hold for a bit till I buy it though since I don't have the time until next weekend to play it well. Besides, I still have Gurumin and ZoE to play. Mister Jack
I'm playing Transistor at the moment. If you were holding off on this one because it looks like a Bastion clone, you can rest assured that the only thing the two games have in common is the camera and the narrator. The gameplay is COMPLETELY different. 20 dollars is a little steep for a PSN game, sure, but I am enjoying it very much so far.
Strangelove
Still playing Borderlands 2 on Vita. I probably would have succumbed to buying Transistor if this game wasn't so damn long. The mission in the preservation really REALLY bums me out. Ive played through this part 3 times now and it always pisses me off. Maybe it's because in the last few years Ive had a really soft spot for pets and animals in general. Ive always liked animals, but lately Ive felt very sentimental about them. Probably due to my cat, that bitch.I just never expected to find something so disturbing in a game like Borderlands 2. 95% of the game is humorous, then this shit happens.Shit, that whole mission is fucked up if you collect and listen to all the recordings laying around the place. Then again, human and animal experimentation is one of those things that I dwell on and play out in my head. I think about stuff like that a lot. I'm not a fan. TheMightyEthan
My wife went to a nearby town to visit a friend this evening, so I've been playing Titanfall all night. My team in this game suuuuuucked. I'm only one man, I can only do so much.
toxicitizen
I started playing Tales of Symphonia a couple days ago. It's not a bad game by any means but man, the story is boring the shit out of me. :/ The opening was fine but now, a little under 10 hours in, there's only been one other section so far where it was actually interesting. Otherwise, most of the time the characters are talking and all I can think is "Oh my god, I don't care!!". I really hope it picks up soon because otherwise I don't think I could endure 50 hours of this shit. It's kind of a shame because the combat is kinda fun. If the story was more compelling, I could see myself really getting into it. I've been trying to soldier on and keep playing in hope that it gets better but I always end up turning it off and going back to grind in Disgaea 3 instead... TCP
A couple thoughts on the new Mario Kart 8. So far my fiance and I are enjoying it, though the option to automatically drift from the Wii version seems to be gone, which was a big help for her (I've tried to explain drifting to her but she just doesn't get it, keep in mind outside of this and Pokemon she does not game). The fake ? block seems to be gone, which is good, I don't think anyone has ever been fooled by that. Blue shells don't seem as common in the Wii version, but they're still there, the horn is nice but the amount of times you actually get a horn in first place are few and far between. Voice chat between friends during online races would have been great. I don't understand what they were thinking getting rid of battle arenas, that was dumb. The character roster also sort of sucks, it's half babies and Bowsers kids. Do we really need Rosalina AND Baby Rosalina? No, no we do not. Seems like this would have been a good opportunity to have some other Nintendo characters in the game, like 'toon Link. Oh, and they totally fucked the N64 version of Rainbow Road. The race starts, I go down the hill, and jump off the side to land on the far part of the track, and as soon as I'm off the track I get carried back on to where I started from. I don't know if jumping off the track there was an intentional shortcut or not on N64 but everyone did it, and now it's gone. I would have tried again on the second lap but they set it so you only have to do one lap, because god forbid a race be more than 3 minutes nowadays. My biggest disappointment is that if you're playing two player (couch, not online), and one person has the gamepad, you can't set it so one player uses the gamepad and one uses the TV. This seems like a huge wasted opportunity, and finally a reason to some what, sort of, justify the gamepad.
