Mal
Killer is Dead Now why did they made a hack and slash game capped at 30 fps? It's pretty simple to turn it into 60 fps but you'll have to mess around with the settings to make parts of the game run properly (they're tied to the fps). Also I highly suggest validating the data after the installation due to the tendency for it to be missing 12 pieces of data that makes an early boss fight goes silent. Decent game in the end however. Mister Jack
I was on the fence about that one when I saw it in the sale. On the one hand, I like Suda 51. On the other hand, I also hate Suda 51.
Mal
I don't think I played a Suda 51 game before so it's fine by me. Besides, I'm trying to find some quirky games to play and well, he's the guy to go to. However, this game is kind of broken or unless my 60 fps is fucking with enemy spawns. I got 24 enemies to kill in this mini game of sorts. Either its spawn is hidden but I cannot find the last bloody one (Edit: found him but still, my next sentence... WTF?). Not only that by some of my retries has me coming up short by 4 enemies. Most of these enemies spawn in by hitting boxes but it seems to be totally random if they will spawn in. I would think that it shouldn't take me many tries to finish the damn mini game, right? Also, downsampling is hit or miss. There seems to be shutter issues. Sad because the game looks great when it is sharp with little to no jaggies. Or maybe the graphic settings is fucked again and it is rendering at 720 instead of the full 1080. For tweaking, this game isn't hard to do but it sure doesn't play nice. Edited December 23, 2014 by MaliciousH
danielpholt
Still playing and enjoying GTA 5 in short bursts of a few hours here and there. I'm beginning to mainline the main missions however, because I can feel myself losing interest in the games mechanics, that and I've got a bucket load of games to play on PC and Wii U. Serious question, how many of you actually enjoyed the various activities in GTA? I played a few rounds of Tennis and just didn't enjoy it. Same with a few of the other activities and less..interesting tasks.
Eleven
I don't think I've ever tried playing Tennis... I think I only did the required yoga and some racing. The freaks & something side missions are the ones I did, the game has some crazy characters. And Trevor's rampage missions are fun, too. I like how the situation escalates with every mission. Mister Jack
Does the first person mode make much difference? If I already beat the game once, is there enough in the remaster to make it worth playing a second time?
TheMightyEthan
I did most of the stuff that actually shows up as a mission on the map, but only did one game of tennis and one round of golf as far as the other stuff goes. SomTervo
The underwater optional missions are are great, and some of the races. All the Strangers and Freaks were enjoyable except the Tow Truck ones. Who the fuck would ever consider that a good idea for something "fun" to do in a game? The remaster is very, very nice. Ive been playing it more recently. Lots of really nice improvements, and FPS mode is now properly playable after they added Deadzone and Acceleration settings under Controls. Itll be v cheap soon - and i recommend it. Also best soundtrack in the series with all the new ones in the remaster. Think I've said that before here Also Merry Xmas everyone! Baconrath
Strider is really good so far. It has a really good sense of progression wherein (at least early on) you'll fight a boss and you might have some trouble with it but after you kill it and get upgrade X then if they do show up again they're a little bit more trivial. But the normal grunts can still wreck your shit if you're not careful. Can slice three robot guys with one swing 10/10
Mister Jack
Is the sound kind of fucked up with Strider? It never sounded quite right to me, even after reinstalls. The sound effects are too low and the music is too high. I dunno if it's just me.
Saturnine Tenshi
Wife has been using my PC to play DA:I. It looks gorgeous if nothing else. Only it seems like there is something else.

TheFlyingGerbil
changing down the music and SFX and maxing voice is the first thing I always do when I load a game for the first time. I'm forever rewinding scenes of films/TV because I can't make out what someone is saying and it's the reason I have to have subtitles on games even though I find them really distracting. there was actually a bit of a we-demand-answers in the UK last year about the audio balance of TV programmes with all the music and effects drowning out dialogue. the main culprit that kicked off the fuss was a science programme. I guess it was supposed to conjure the awe and majesty of the universe but you ended up getting frustrated as you were missing the information that was actually meant to be inspiring you.
Mister Jack
It's been a while but I don't think Strider has that option.
TCP
I've been playing Far Cry 4 even after beating the main campaign. Today... this happened: That would be my 7th platinum of the year. Woo! Next up: The Wolf Among Us.
Eleven
I'm looking at your platinum list, why do you have 3 plats for minecraft??? And it seems weird for you to not have an Uncharted platinum!
Mister Jack
Some cross-save games have separate trophy lists, but when you share the save between platforms it unlocks the trophy an additional time.
TCP
Why?! Why wouldn't I? It was a pretty easy platinum, and it was a cross-buy title, once you transfered your world over it was pretty easy to hammer out the platinum. I'd feel bad but lots of people have 3 Sound Shapes platinums and that's a cross-save title. Also, yeah I've wanted to go back and do UC2/3 but I still haven't gotten around to it. Some of my procrastination might have to do with the frustrating parts, like the shipyard sequence in UC3. That sucked on normal, I'm sure it'll suck even more on extreme. Mal
Bored of her homeland, Dina sailed to Calradia to seek her fortune. After a few seasons gaining reputation as a hard lady in the hard world of the steppe nomads, she set out to claim her own kingdom of Dinaistan in the frozen North. No lord or king of any kingdom dare to attack her stronghold of Ismirala Castle, home to her most harden troops. All the while Queen Dina herself goes out to conquer castles to only leave them empty, sneak into towns to beat out the best the realm has to offer in tournaments and gain the trust of the lowly commoners. In an alternate universe, Falwin Derm has risen from the desert sands to become the most fiercest Sarranid lord. Dragged down in chains not once but twice and yet he rose again to serve the Sultan Who Does Not Care. Rebellion is in the air and with his strongest allies in the Sultanate all former or current generals, it remains to be seen how the Sarranid Sultanate will evolve. So yeah, Mount and Blade Warband is fun. I'm slowly bumping up the difficulty as I go. And I don't know why I came up with the names of Dina and Falwin Derm. They really random on my part. Saturnine Tenshi
Some thoughts on Dragon Age Inquisition: Gathering blows, especially considering how many items need materials you have to gather. I don't want to play Dragon Age the MMO. The inventory system is all sorts of frustrating. Navigating it reminds me of Skyrim. And there are all these rings that enhance abilities, but no way to see what abilities my characters have equipped while equipping the rings. On the positive side, I just discovered the amulet that lets you retrait. I now have a traited Hook and Chain skill, and it's great. No cooldown and no stamina cost, so I can just spam it. The range is silly, too. It's like I'm Spider-Man. Also, I tried to fight the Ferelden Somethingback at level 10. I might have done 10% before I ran away.

This is a narrative you just made up as you play right? My brother loves Mount and Blade and keeps telling me stuff that makes me want to play it, but I find I don't enjoy creating my own story. It's the same way with Crusader Kings (I think?), where you can do all sorts of political stuff, and of course, EVE Online. Those games create stories that are great to retell, but the game doesn't really tell it to you, not directly anyway. Those names sound like default names in D&D fantasy worlds. It wouldn't be unusual to see a Falwin Derm in Baldur's Gate, or Dragon Age.

Saturnine Tenshi
Yeah, but I'm talking about all those rings that enhance abilities by 30% or whatever. Need to know which abilities they have to know which rings to use.

Mister Jack
I'm trying out Guilty Gear Xrd. Definitely feels different from the last few games. Not as many characters which is a bit of a letdown, although I did download the currently-free new DLC character Elphelt and god damn she is just cute as hell I can't take it. I wish she had actual story cutscenes, damn it.
