Strangelove
I'm trying to like Dishonored, but I just can't. It basically feels like a stealth mod added to Bioshock. Sounds good on paper, except it's not. It doesn't do anything as well as the things it takes its "inspirations" from. Even the graphics suck. I dunno. I'm sure it's a fine game, it's just rubbing me the wrong way. Feels cheap. Oh well.
Mister Jack
How did this game get so popular? Everyone on here seems to hate it, and so do all my friends.
TheMightyEthan
I love it. Every single thing about it.
TCP
The only thing wrong with Dishonored is the fact they spelt the word dishonoured wrong. Other than that it's fantastic.
toxicitizen
Dishonored? I thought it was fucking great. It's basically Thief meets Deus Ex, so pretty much a combination of two of my all-time favorites. Everyone is looking forward to Bethesda's E3 conference because they expect Fallout 4, which is cool and all. But Dishonored II is what I'm most excited to see a reveal of.

Mister Jack
I'm betting you won't get any of those. I'd bet money that they're announcing Doom 4.
toxicitizen
Elder Scrolls 6 > Dishonoured 2 > Fallout 4 Not to say I'm not excited about Fallout 4, I AM! I don't think you could be more wrong even if you tried! Besides, it's too early for TES6, I think. I'm pretty sure I remember Pete Hines or whatever saying they intended to alternate between TES and Fallout. Also, the last time I tried to get back to Skyrim to finally play it all the way through, it was boring as all hell and I just kinda stopped after a few hours. That kinda killed my excitement for a potential TES6. Maybe I should give it another shot. ... and just like that it's currently downloading on Steam. Damn it. I'm betting you won't get any of those. I'd bet money that they're announcing Doom 4. I seriously doubt they'd actually be holding a presser if all they had was Doom 4. They kinda have to have some kind of line-up to reveal. Personally, my money's on Doom, Fallout 4 and Dishonored II. Probably a new IP or two. Edited April 24, 2015 by FLD
Mister Jack
Never underestimate E3's capacity to underwhelm. I'd love to be wrong about this, but past E3s have taught me to be skeptical.
TheMightyEthan
I will be a very sad panda is there no Dishonored 2. That's literally the only thing they might announce that I care about (other than some potential new IP I don't know about yet).

Oh, I'm sure E3 will disappoint in ways both old and new. I mean, Square Enix just announced they're also having a conference. That should be something... All I'm saying is there's no way Bethesda would bother having a presser if all they had was Doom. But yeah, my line-up is pretty much a best case scenario.

That was my preferences, not my predictions. If I had to guess I'd say Fallout 4 and Dishonoured 2 will get announced, maybe if we're lucky a Skyrim port for PS4, or if we're really really really lucky the Elder Scrolls equivalent of New Vegas. Plus some ID stuff that no one cares about. Edited April 24, 2015 by The Cowboy Poet

Saturnine Tenshi
I also loved Dishonored. Just finished Transistor. Good, concise game.
Mister Jack
I'm finally getting into Xenoblade on the 3DS. I had the Wii version but I never finished it. I seem to have trouble finishing RPGs that aren't on handhelds nowadays, but it's just as well because I think this game works better on the 3DS. The Wii version looked ugly as hell on an HD television, which wasn't really the game's fault but that doesn't change the fact that it looks better on a smaller screen. On another note, why are there so few JRPGs that have this kind of battle system? MMO style combat is just so much more fun in a single player game like this one, but the only other example I can think of is FFXII. It's downright criminal that this sort of gameplay hasn't caught on more. Edited April 27, 2015 by Mister Jack
Strangelove
How is the game automatically playing itself fun? I haven't played Xenoblade, but I've played FFXII. That shit was boring. Technically you could attack when you wanted, but it was completey unnecessary. You set up your gambits halfassedly and the game doesn't need you anymore. And for the record, FFX-2 has the best turn based battle system I've ever played. It is the most interactive yet strategic. It does both. even Tales of Xillia was fun. Faiblesse Des Sens
So mindlessly hitting X over and over is somehow better? Bitch please. Both Xenoblade and FF12 do a great job of getting rid of a lot of the tedium pervasive in JRPGs. Also you didn't play much FF12 if you think you can survive the whole game with only having gambits setup.
TheFlyingGerbil
I've started playing animal crossing more frequently again recently. Completed my dinosaur model set which is basically finding all the fossils a second time and taking them to re-tail to be made in to models. Need to clear a room out in my house to display them. Not sure what to do with my house there's only 2 rooms made up nice and the rest collect junk. Struggling with my gold room as I never get gold nuggets. Frustrating. Anyway, the train I actually came in here is I started fantasy life. It is so addictive I've played 15 hours on the last few days. I am on holiday though so not as bad as it sounds? Loving it anyway. Just started on my third life. Going to get them all going so I don't have to miss things like ore and trees as I go past them.

Mr. GOH!
Replaying GTA V on my PC and am enjoying it greatly. The improved graphics and performance really highlight the beauty of Los Santos. Haven't even touched the multiplayer yet, but if there are folks here on the PC version, I'd happily join your crew.
Baconrath
Decided I would try to finish Ar Tonelico on a whim. I keep feeling like I'm messing something up even though I'm probably not. And then there's that old rpg schtick where you don't realize a character is going to leave and take their armor and stuff with them before you have a chance to remove it. That doesn't help. Maybe next I'll try and tackle MS Saga? I dunno. Dat grind.

TheMightyEthan
That shit where they take their equipment is absolutely horrible. I can't believe any game ever did that, let alone all the games.

Saturnine Tenshi
It takes some getting used to, but I think Metafalica's is the best of the three (or four depending how you look at it). Liked the rhythm bit.
