Yantelope
Only 400 points and I got the points on sale so less than $5 for this game. I hope it's worth it.

CorgiShinobi
It was on sale for $39.99, and I had yet to obtain a second controller for the PS3. I'm think after nearly three years, I could go for a fresh controller. Edited February 2, 2011 by Atomsk88
deanb
I really want a white DS3, then I'll have a full compliment of controllers, and with a white one that says "this is mine, this is the one controller to rule them all. it's also the one that vibrates" and everyone else can have my Sixaxis. (which I got a double pack dirt cheap when the DS3 first came out)
staySICK
why does the one that rules them all have to be white, dean? ...racist.
TheMightyEthan
Me too. I don't like white DS3's. The way I tell my DS3 apart is that it has the little grippy-nubs on the sticks. And my 360 controller has a chat pad on it.
Yantelope
Was only $8 with amazon prime through warehouse deals. Should be a fun diversion.
TheMightyEthan
I'm really hoping I get that surround-sound audio adapter tomorrow, but it's really not looking like it. Might not even get it until monday.
NeoStarr
Went on a little GoG shopping spree last night after burning out on games that end in 'Craft'. This was actually my first experience with Rise of the Triad, but the rest were all stuff I played extensively in my childhood. I haven't played Build engine games in ages and I'm so glad I picked these up. It's really making me take a second look at a lot of the FPS games I've been playing in the past few years and I'm starting to realize that I really only enjoyed a lot of them in relation to other stuff that was out at the time; there are still very few first person shooters that hold up to these imo. I really think shooters should go back to the old school level design that promoted exploration and interaction with the environment. Gameplay these days tends to be too focused on finding cover between point a and point b.
Yantelope
I ordered Medal of Honor a week ago and it still hasn't come. Stupid blizzard.
NeoStarr
I think that was actually made by EA... ... oh, you mean like a real blizzard don't you.
Yantelope
haha, yes, the real blizzard. My expectations for MoH are low so hopefully I'll be able to enjoy it.
Mercurial
Singleplayer is solid if short. I always keep my expectations incredibly low so I can always enjoy a game.
Battra92
Bit the bullet and preordered Pokemon Black and White. One for me and one for the fiancee. I have no idea which to choose.
TheMightyEthan
Do those games still only allow one save file?
Yantelope
I bet they do, they sell more copies that way. Also, Medal of Honor isn't bad. It's surprisingly violent. The control does feel a little sluggish though and it seems like I miss a lot of shots which looked like they were headshots.
CorgiShinobi
Do those games still only allow one save file? There's always going to be single save file Pokemon games considering the imposed rarity of the Starters, and just Legendary Pokemon to boot.
TheMightyEthan
Well the rarity of the starters is easy to get around as long as you have two, you just restart one of them a couple of times and trade the starters back and forth. Yeah, you get two games.
TheMightyEthan
But having multiple saves wouldn't affect that, you'd still have to have two games, unless they made it so you could trade between your different save files. Well sure. I imagine you would want to have a serious profile/campaign on each version. Just, you would make another save file for the sole purpose of trading. That's the one thing Pokemon still does right to this day: trading. It was possible, back in the day, to get both versions and obtain all 150 Pokemon by yourself, but you've got to admit that took time. After all, you were completing two games. That's why trading with friends, and now strangers at conventions and etc, is so appealing. Heck, now we have Special Event Pokemon where the only possible method to obtain them is to attend those public outgoings.

RockyRan
I really want stacking, but $15 is a bit too much (money's tight right now). Maybe later. Just got King's Bounty: The Legend yesterday from GoG for $2.50. Played it a bit today and it looks promising, I just have to learn wtf is going on. toxicitizen
It's been too long since the last time I posted in this thread! Think it was during the Steam holiday sale. This time it was a little bit more expensive. Well, I guess technically I bought Dead Space: Ignition over PSN like two weeks ago. But I don't think that even qualifies as a game. At least not as a good one. Though it did get me a sweet Hacker suit that I have used in my first purchase: And included with this was a nice free copy of Dead Space: Extraction, which brings me to my second purchase: Next up: Because holding a dualshock in my left hand when playing Killzone 3 feels awkward as shit. I haven't technically bought it yet, but I'll probably be ordering it off Amazon.ca before I go to bed. And while I'm on Amazon, I'm very tempted to also grab this: The only reason I haven't ordered yet is I haven't quite managed to convince myself to spend another chunk of cash on games again so quickly... DS2 and the Move bundle almost cost me 200 bucks! But hey, I'm getting drunk tomorrow night, so if I haven't ordered it by then, I'll probably drunk order it when I come home wasted Booze. Is there any problem is doesn't solve?
