TheMightyEthan
High paying compared to my expenses, yes.
Strangelove
This is my fourth time buying it. Im such a sucker. Then again I've replayed it over 20 times. 10 dollars I think is worth it just to give me an excuse to play it again. I have never gotten tired of this damn game for some reason. Collecting all the weapons and upgrades is my weakness. Damn.
TheMightyEthan
Man, and I thought I was a sucker for the few games I've bought on 360 and then bought again on PC.
MasterDex
I've made amends for not picking it up last week and purchased Warhammer 40k: Space Marine. Just installed so I'm off to play it. Look forward to some 40k quotes from me in the future. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! *Ahem* Sorry, it's already started. Will my love of 40k ever die?! On a related note, I'm 58% through Dead Island and have really started to see its greatness. If they released mod tools for this game, it could be all kinds of awesome in a couple of years. TheMightyEthan
$9 used on Glyde. My comment in the Assassin's Creed thread proved prophetic.

excel_excel
Had a bit of a haul in Gamestop's PS2 preowned section thanks to seeing God Hand there. none of the damn cases have manuals or covers but I DON'T CARE. And its buy 2 get 1 free so.......
TheMightyEthan
$2 on Steam. Been waiting to find it cheap since I've heard it's not very good, but the premise interests me.
Strangelove
Alpha Protocol has been dirt cheap for a while at Gamestop and ive been wanting to try it, but theres a lot of negative reviews, then there are a few VERY vocal minority talking about how great it really was. I know i should form my own opinions, but to me its a warning sign when very few people are very loud and overanalytical over how great a game is that everyone else says sucks. Its a turnoff for me. It feels like a bunch of people who spent 60 bucks but are in denial that it wasnt even worth 5 dollars. Kinda like the people who said that Duke Nukem Forever was just as good as other shooters. They probably feel bad about buying it first day and they truly want the game to be good. No one ever brings that topic up. Self denial is huge with gamers and their games. Ive done it before myself. Its ridiculous.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that's why I didn't get it at Amazon for $8, I waited til it was on Steam for $2. I figure even if it's terrible I've wasted less than the price of a hamburger.
Strangelove
I dunno, man. Hamburgers are good. And they help you not die. Unlike Alpha Protocol.
excel_excel
What if its a hamburger full of saturated fat and gives you a heart attack? Alpha Protocol wouldn't do that to you
TheFlyingGerbil
Maybe Alpha Protocol is so bad you lose the will to live.
Hot Heart
Plus, you can't eat Steam copies. So hamburger wins.

Luftwaffles
Total War: Empire and Napolean + all the DLCs. Went to go buy just Empire, but then Napolean plus all of the DLC for both games was only 5 bucks more so it seemed like a no brainer (You win, Valve). Was meaning to snatch up Alpha Protocol as well, but forgot to add it to my cart in the process and now I'm probably not gonna bother with it. Far too many games to play anyway... TheMightyEthan
Oh, also ordered these a few days ago: Finally I can live a life free of the DS3.
Hot Heart
Ooh, that would be handy for a few games (although, with those clip-on triggers my DS3 isn't actually that bad). I was considering Alpha Protocol but even though it's cheap, I'd probably never play it anyway, and I've had my fill of espionage in DXHR. Since Arkham City has been delayed on PC I might grab Beyond Good & Evil HD using the 800MSP I got with Gears 3. Since I'm not sure exactly when Iron Brigade is actually coming out. That and it might not be a definite purchase. Otherwise there's Bastion... Edited September 23, 2011 by Hot Heart
TheMightyEthan
The triggers on the DS3 have never bothered me, it's the sticks; they're way too loose.
