Mal
Chances are... I won't be beating this game. I actually never beat Demon Souls... fuck that crypt. Fuck the swamp. But... I cannot wait to fight these two guys.
Faiblesse Des Sens
The swamp isn't too bad in Demon's Souls once you have things setup right. It's a pretty small area.
toxicitizen
Â Yay! Was so bummed when it didn't win community choice. I knew it would be back but I wanted to be playing it already! Â Oh and grabbed this last night right before going to bed. Â Â Was curious and figured it should be worth the 3$ if only because lol. Ended up costing me only around 60 cents, too. I keep forgetting that Steam wallet always gets selected by default and I had a little under 3$ in it from selling cards. Was planning on using that money to get some cards I was missing but oh well. Faiblesse Des Sens
Did you buy Gunpoint from the Humble Store or Steam? I'm watching you. All of you. Edited July 17, 2013 by Faiblesse Des Sens
toxicitizen
Steam. I keep buying them too fast and only think to check humble store after the fact. Force of habit.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that's what happened to me with Reus. Â "OOH! Â That's on sale!" Â *buy* Â "Wait, I bet the Humble Store matched it..."
Faiblesse Des Sens
Steam. I keep buying them too fast and only think to check humble store after the fact. Force of habit. Â Tom Francis now has to get a small soda instead of a large soda. I hope you're happy.
toxicitizen
Yes. Soda is terrible for you.  edit: Seriously, though. I got the game only but now I kinda want to upgrade to at least the special edition. According to his website, Steam should offer the option. But I'm not seeing it. CorgiShinobi
I got Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition as well... Â For $7.49, I thinking I'll be able to tolerate my constant death toll.
Faiblesse Des Sens
You know people paid $60 and still tolerated the constant death toll. It's part of the game.
TheMightyEthan
But not everyone likes everything that's part of every game. Â Even games they like.
CorgiShinobi
See, if I ever come to a point in the game where I just can't progress from either lack of skill, patience, or plain ol' frustration, I can at least tell myself that I only spent $7.49 rather than, "Shit, and I payed $60 for this game!" Â It's why I've been holding out for it. It has been around $20 for PS3 on Amazon, but I always bought something else. Now that I'm going to have a good gaming PC (once the GPU arrives), I figured at this price for Prepare to Die Edition, it was going to be as good as it gets. Faiblesse Des Sens
Don't forget to download the DSFix.
madbassman39
Civ V gold upgrade and Gal civ 2. I've been very good at not splurging during the steam sale. It helps that I had lost my bank card a week before and my credit card security numbers rubbed off.
Mr. GOH!
Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes. Because I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes in the form of low-budget strategy RPGs.
deanb
You'll have to tell me how it goes. I played the beta of the original and it was a bit shitty (to the point the game got taken back to the drawing board name and all). Some interesting ideas and mix of Civ-like play with RPG elements. Just kind of really badly done. Which is a bummer as they tied it into a pretty interesting Steamworks-like competitor too, but that was doomed by the flagship game it came with. madbassman39
I was just going to really dive myself into Civ until I read what Fallen Enchantress is... at $14 it seems very tempting.
Little Pirate
Today was... magical. Reserved my PS4 with my stock of Best Buy gift cards I've saved since last year. I only owe $97 when I pick it up. And with my birthday cash I got a 3DS. And... GIMME YOUR FRIEND CODES!!!
madbassman39
I caved after reading anything about Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes. I am on a strategy kick these days and man that game just looks fun.
Mr. GOH!
Fallen Enchantress isn't perfect, but it is a billion times better than the horrible mess Elemental (the original game) was on release. I'm enjoying it.

toxicitizen
Â Currently on flash sale for 3$. That's very much in my "fuck it, I'm curious" price range. I was hoping to also get Retro City Rampage for 3$ but it didn't win the community vote because people are idiots. Â I'm also tempted to grab Anodyne from GMG. They're having a big indie sale and it's currently 66% off, which makes it cheaper than it currently is on Steam (or even the Humble store). I'm still waiting to see if Steam gives it a daily or flash (in case it's better) but as the sale nears its end, it's starting to look kind of unlikely. Alternatively, I could just use my GMG store credit and get it for less than a dollar. Less than a dollar is a good price.
TheMightyEthan
Obviously it differs based on my level of interest in a game, but my complete "fuck it, I'm curious" price is $1.25 or less.
Hot Heart
Isn't Strike Suit Infinity supposed to be better (and currently cheaper)?
toxicitizen
That seems a bit low. The game would have to be dirt cheap to begin with to even get at that price. Strike Suit Zero is a 20$ game. But yeah, even at 3$ it had to be more than random curiosity. I've actually wanted to try it for a while. Â And from what I understand, Infinity is more of an arcade survival mode whereas Zero has a proper campaign with a story.
