danielpholt
 Steam - £5  I'm desperate for something to play.
Saturnine Tenshi
It's a good game, though probably not as good as a game that uses the American flag to represent English on its website.
TheMightyEthan
Maybe it was specifically localized into American English?
toxicitizen
Â For Vita. And technically PS3 as well, since it's cross-buy. That's cool, I guess. But if I ever felt like playing on a big screen with a controller then... I'd just fire up the Steam version. Â Anyway, I paid full price when it came out on PC so I was kind of hoping it would join the instant game collection and spare me the need to double dip. But it's on sale this week and the extra Plus discount brings the price down to steam sale levels, so I figured what the hell.
TCP
It's on sale on PSN this week so I figured, since I have to fly to Vancouver and back this week I'll use this to occupy my time.
Hot Heart
Prototype 2. Was cheap and I actually really enjoyed the first one.
Mal
Watch as this game goes on sale soon. I also kind of wish I could trust Nintendo's e-shop but I can't since if I brick my system somehow, I'm fucked.
toxicitizen
Hexcells and Hexcells Plus. Â It's kind of a cross between minesweeper and, uh... sudoku, I guess? Kind of. You're not actually placing numbers, it plays mostly identical to minesweeper. But the information given for you to deduce which hexes you can remove is a bit more complex. Â Anyway, I saw it featured on RPS a while back and thought it looked cool. Voted for it on Greenlight and promptly forgot about it. Then I saw it featured on RPS again last night since a standalone expansion just came out. I looked it up and it's still not greenlit but the page says the dev will provide Steams keys once it is, so I figured what the hell and grabbed the base game from the Humble Store. It's pretty fun but not very long. I blasted through the entire thing in only a couple hours. it's only 3$, though, so I have no complaint whatsoever there. Â The problem with the base game is it's kind of on the easy side. It gets pretty challenging near the end but by then you're pretty much already done with it. That's where Hexcells Plus comes in. It's also only 3$ but it's very much aimed at those who already beat the original. I'm only about 10 puzzles in and I'm already left staring blankly at the screen, trying to figure out what the next logical move is. If you like logic puzzles, I strongly recommend checking it out. NeoStarr
Â I'm a big Ellison fan. I've always wanted to try this and GoG had it half off.
toxicitizen
Â I wasn't initially planning on getting it so soon but I played 999 pretty much the entire evening until like 3 AM last night, going for all the alternate endings, and holy shit that game is fantastic! I only have the true ending left to get, I'll be doing that today. But once I'm done with it, I'm definitely going to want to play the sequel asap. TheMightyEthan
I can't do visual novels for some reason.
Chronixal
I wouldn't really call 999 or VLR a visual novel. More an adventure/puzzle game with lots of plot.
TheMightyEthan
I never played VLR, but 999 played like a visual novel with occasional puzzles. I might have been able to deal with it if it'd had actual animated cutscenes, but as is, bleh.
Chronixal
Dude, you missed out. A supremely well done and memorable game.
toxicitizen
Well, to be fair, I was initially disappointed by how little interaction there was. I expected there to be a little bit more choices. Characters would get to an area, go "Okay we can go 4 different ways" and instead of letting me explore they'd just end up discussing it between themselves and choosing where to go.  That being said, I don't really have a problem with VNs, as long as the story is good. And this one really is. But yeah, it's hardly a pure VN. It kinda reminds me of Phoenix Wright, if you removed the investigation part and replaced the courtroom with "escape the room" puzzles. NeoStarr
 I found out there was a game called Drunken Robot Pornography. I immediately bought Drunken Robot Pornography. If you're going to buy a game based on its title, you pretty much have to start with Drunken Robot Pornography. Doesn't hurt that, even in its early access alpha stage, Drunken Robot Pornography is an awesome game. Drunken Robot Pornography's editor is also the best since Spore; and I have a lot of fun making my own levels and robots for Drunken Robot Pornography. Look forward to them in the steam workshop for Drunken Robot Pornography.
toxicitizen
Eh, might as well use this spot. Guacamelee is on sale this week on PSN so I grabbed the Vita version because why not, game's great and I already 100%'d it on Steam so if I'm going to replay it I might as well get some trophies out of it. Think it's cross-buy, too. Really starting to love that feature. Edited December 17, 2013 by FLD
CorgiShinobi
Â 1. Face it, the price is never going down anytime soon. Â 2. I don't shop a lot at Best Buy, wanted to maintain Elite status, spent extra $50 on holiday shopping for myself.
TCP
Minecraft for PS3. I don't know. I have it on PC, never play it anymore, but sometimes I want to kick back and play it on TV with a controller (before you say anything, I've never got my DS3 to work on my mac with Minecraft). The trophies are super easy, this is a totally attainable platinum, I'll do it for sure.  Terraria for Vita. I picked up Terraria earlier this year for PS3 and immediately thought "this would be perfect on Vita". Surprise, surprise... it is.
toxicitizen
I'm tempted to get Terraria for Vita but I kinda feel like I got everything I'm going to get out of the game from the PC version. I'd probably be more inclined to double-dip if it was cross-buy or if it was cheaper.
