Well, Fable III finally arrived 9 weeks after I qualified for it. By letting my Gold lapse I got it for 20% off (£32 instead of £40) and got a free copy of Fable III. Pretty cool except when I took the offer I could trade Fable III for £25 now it's only worth £5 :/ Still, I actually want to play it so it's still cool, and free! It's the proper retail boxed version as well, so fine to trade in.

Anyway, what's up with MS taking so long to fulfil their offers. I'm still waiting for my halo avatar thing I qualified for and that was all done in the marketplace so I don't see why that couldn't be instantaneous.

I forgot I got this too - only £7 new at ASDA. Bargain!

I had to google what they were actually for, I didn't get it at all. Slightly disappointed it's a collection quest rather than some kind of gameplay based challenge. I'm not a fan of collecting stuff in games. :(

Seriously considering buying a frame to put them in though, they're awesome little things. :D

Funny thing happened with that actually, I figured the badges were near landmarks (after I stumbled upon one in Union Station) and had wandered around Chinatown to no avail only to stop my car next to a street I hadn't bothered to check because it seemed 'uninteresting'...decided to open up and look at the negatives just in case and saw one with paper lamps hanging down above an alley exactly like the one I was next to. Got out the car and found the badge, no problem. :sherlock:

Oh, and I just five-starred my first homicide case, finding all the clues at the same time (always missed one before). Although it all seemed a little too easy...

Just bought these for $2 each at a local thrift store. Someone had donated about 15 SNES titles. I skipped out on a bunch, including Donkey Kong Country 3 and a few other gems. Now if only I could acquire an SNES on the cheap...

You can get clone systems relatively cheap. I have a few SNESes hanging around that I picked up for free. Someone had spilled a soda on one but that's nothing a little contact cleaner can't fix.

I got Vanquish for 20 bucks at Target. Their clearance section was recently replenished with good stuff. They had the Sly Cooper Collection for 20 dollars too, but ive never played any of them, so I didnt get it. I kind of want to though. its 3 games. It would last me a while...if I like them.

They also had Resistance 2 for 10 dollars. Ive never played a Resistance game in my life and Ive always wanted to. Maybe Ill go and get that. Cant be too bad.

I got bored with the campaign very quickly (then again I only like certain FPSs) but I really enjoyed the co-op mode.

I has no friends.

Is Heavenly Sword as short as Enslaved?

I loved Enslaved. If only the actual gameplay was deeper. I feel the same way about Heavenly Sword. The art styles, graphics, animations, sounds, voiceacting, story, its all there..............except the gameplay. its good gameplay just not what it could be. Its not up to the standards of everything else.

I hope they do DMC right. They have to.

LA-Noire-cover-art.jpg

I normally don't sell or trade-in my games. Last time I did was God of War III after I had platinum'd it because I needed some cash, and I ended up eventually rebuying it. I never even unsealed the new copy...

But yesterday I decided that my not owning and therefore being unable to play L.A. Noire could simply not go on anymore. So I went through my games and rounded up the few I was willing to part with. Most of them I never even finished or started, or will was never planning on playing again.

Overall, it wasn't too bad a trade-off. The games I parted with were stuff like The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and FFXII: Revenant Wings on DS.

Oh and Guitar Hero 5, but without the guitar. I need that to play Rock Band

Also a copy of Assassin's Creed II for 360, which is not even a system I own. Some idiot on Amazon sent it to me when I ordered the PS3 version last year and never asked for me to return it when he refunded me. The two biggest casualties sacrificed to the pawn shop deity were God of War: Chains of Olympus, which I'm confident will see a re-release as a HD Remaster, and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, which I can rebuy for 15 bucks on PSN anytime I want.
