Games You've Bought

I didn't like Twilight Princess that much on Wii. I loved it on GCN, though. I don't see why I should make a swinging motion when I could just press a button. It's more work for the same result. You can call me lazy, but it doesn't even feel more immersive to me. If I want a workout, I can go work out, not that swinging a Wiimote around is much work in the first place. I just don't see the point of the control scheme if I can do the same thing, but more consistently, on a Gamecube Controller.

Skyrim and Batman Arkham City on PC. £20.45 each. (the pre-order deal is in the Game Deals thread if any UK folk want to use it. Works for console games too.)

The first coupon was only for the first 500 customers or something. :(

Still, Arkham City for £22.70 is not bad at all. Especially since my usual place, GAME, doesn't seem to have any pre-order bonuses. First time using Tesco so I don't know if it'll arrive a day earlier than release like with GAME but I shan't be too peeved at that price anyway.

No! You may remember my epic rant after my ME2 disc broke because of one. And before that there was the whole Halo 3 LE with the crap spindle that didn't hold the disc properly (not sure if that was a SteelBook or just a steel case) and I still have to be really careful with my copy of Uncharted 2.

I hate the things!

Just grabbed these two

Mostly got the double pack for the Cthulhu game, as I hear it's awesome, but the other game doesn't look bad either.

And Dredmor has intrigued me quite a bit ever since I read about how great it is both here and on PXOD itself.

And, I mean, at five bucks it's no big loss if I don't like it.

Also, I'm suddenly very intrigued by Dead Island. It seemed okay, but I wasn't planning on getting it anytime soon, if at all. But I just saw a video on IGN, they're calling it a "review preview", which is every bit as retarded as it sounds. But what caught my attention is that they're calling it "Fallout with zombies". It seems the game has heavy RPG elements and plays a lot like F3 and NV. They didn't say whether the game is any good, but if it gets good reviews, I'll seriously consider getting it.

Eff, I'm torn between games!

I really want to get into Human Revolution because renting it wouldn't be as satisfying for a game so well received. Renting is for those games that are mediocre or ones you have a slight interest in. However, I've pre-order AC: Revelations, but I have yet to play Brotherhood. I don't know if there are any other games of interest in September, but there will be Arkham City in October and then Revelations in November.

Just did a round of pre-orders.

I wanted to place one for ICO/SotC Collection as well, but I'm still not sure how much money I'll have left at the end of the month after buying all my books and such, so it's on the waiting list :(

Stupid physics class requires 2 damn books at about 50 bucks a piece

Malicious, if you end up getting it as well, let's play some Spec Ops!
