Battra92
My parents have pre-ordered this for Christmas, which means I CAN'T PLAY IT UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! Let's hope it will be worth the wait. The controller is pretty awesome in and of itself, though.
TheFlyingGerbil
I've never played a Zelda game I didn't love and I think the new art style looks beautiful so I really can't imagine not loving it. Having said that Nintendo do seem to be trying their best to annoy loyal customers of late. I agree the controller looks awesome and the bundle is actually the cheapest way to get a motion plus controller, which I don't own at the moment. Only thing is my boring white nunchuck is going to look dreadful drear plugged in to it.
Hot Heart
Pre-ordered Gears of War 3 from Tesco because they throw in a free 800MSP card...which I can use to purchase Beyond Good & Evil or put towards Trenched. GAME's only pre-order offering was some multiplayer character I doubt I'd ever use.
Saturnine Tenshi
Just pre-ordered the Atelier Totori Premium Edition at the local Gamestop.

Luftwaffles
Bought CIV5 and all DLCs in this weekend's deal, plus Hitman:Blood Money earlier in the week and got Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II and Battlefield 2 (Probably gonna just play Project Reality) as gifts. Been a deadly week for steam deals.

Damn wedding + backlog means no time for gaming. Oh and on topic ... Now I have both Gamecube and Wii versions of both games.
Yantelope
I thought you posted that already? Oh, that was pikmin 2. Sorry. Edited September 15, 2011 by Yantelope
Saturnine Tenshi
Heh. I'm being wed on the 26th. But it's just a civil affair, so no bothersome preparations. Yant, are the Amazon Warehouse items always returns or are they trade-ins, too?
Yantelope
Amazon warehouse deals are usually recalled stock from another store in my experience. I got a "Like New" copy of Alpha Protocol and it had the best buy preorder code inside. I've heard of other people who got copies with KMart stickers on their games. Usually "Like New" comes still shrink wrapped to so I'm always keeping an eye out for those. More info on it at CAG. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=303172
toxicitizen
Steam. 5 bucks. Never played the actual card game before, but I tried the demo and liked it. I suck at it pretty bad, though. I've yet to beat the first damn battle on the lowest difficulty....
Battra92
I thought you posted that already? Oh, that was pikmin 2. Sorry. Yeah well I love Pikmin so why not? It's funny when I had just met my fiancée (wife on the 15th) she gave me her copy of Pikmin 1 as I had so much fun playing it at her apartment. Anyway I was still living with my parents and was frantically playing Pikmin like crazy to beat/complete it to get it back to her (I thought she had just loaned it to me) and my mom commented that she didn't know if she wanted to meet her since she gave me such an addictive game (or something like that)

Luftwaffles
Mirrors Edge, Mount and Blade Complete (Great minds think alike, MaliciousH), and then Battlefront II because of the fond memories of playing that on PS2 with my brother. WTF
There's a lot of stuff this Month So I'm sort of doing it piecemeal so as not to be overwhelmed by all the shit I bought. 360: Gears of War 3: Limited Edition PC Borderlands GOTY (already had the PS3 vanilla version at launch but figured I should get this when it was on sale). Dead Island (Screw the haters, it's actually not that bad. Digital Purchase) Far Cry Complete Magicka DLC Still Life PS3 Disgaea 4 LE Resistance 3 Steelbook LE El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron (I'm having so much fricking fun with this game during my spare hours) Renegade Ops (Caved in and bought since I had 3 of the promotion and wouldn't mind a game for free, Realised this was fun too) God Of War Origins Collection (Bought digitally despite having the PSP games, which I'll be selling (not finished with GoS but that's digital. Thing is you can get a PSN of £35 for £25-29) Arcana Heart 3 LE Wii Nothing PSP Nothing cause I decided to wait for Ghostlight's special edition of Persona 2 DS Dragon Quest IX There's a few more things this month including the REs, SoTC and Ico, Totori etc. I'm waiting for Space Marine to come down in price before I get it. deanb
Mirrors Edge on PC for myself and Cyber Rat
Strangelove
I had it on PS2 already, but whatever. I like the game still, but...SF4 is better in almost every way. Sorry. I also dont think the parry system is as great as people make it out to be. its flawed.
BrainHurtBoy...2
WTF: I'm glad someone else is going to be buying Persona 2. I'm afraid it's going to be another 'Persona PSP', a game that was marketed as "Hey, look, more Persona!", but is really a very different, considerably more retro in style, game. The same goes for P2. Innocent Sin has a bit more polish and is a much, much better game, yes, but it's still retro, and quite a bit more difficult than P3 or P4. That said, it is by far my favorite Persona game, and my fourth favorite Shin Megami Tensei game. It's brilliant, some of the plot mechanics are great, and the entire final act of the game is fucking awesome. It has a great atmosphere, too, and you can see that this is where the Persona games really started to get their own separate personality from SMT, a trend that all started with Shin Megami Tensei ...if. /rant So I bought a few things. Space Marine: I loved this game's campaign, just unlocked the customizer in multiplayer, but it feels a little stale, already. El Shaddai: About halfway through, somewhat uninspired to keep playing. Disgaea 4: Love this so far, but it's hard to put aside some time to really sink my teeth into it, and that makes me sad. Wii Wireless Sensor Bar: For playing Dolphin games. Very useful, works much better than two candles. Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online: A classic game, very fun, very high skill ceiling, but not very balanced and has a slightly limited variety of characters when compared to SF4. One of the best fighting games ever.
Saturnine Tenshi
@WTF: Given Disgaea and Arcana Hearts, are you at all interested in the Atelier games?
WTF
@Saturnine Of course I love the whole Atelier aesthetic. European fairy tale artwork given a Japanese treatment. Visually it's nice. I couldn't finish Rorona cause I ran out of time thanks to other games. But I do believe i made the post on Rorona maybe? Don't remember. I am getting Totori since it's no longer just one HP bar for that game and will get Meryl whenever it comes out here (likely autumn 2012). Totori is preordered and we're getting it the same week as the US. Disgaea is still set for October and it's not an LE. I bought Arcana Hearts because I really like cheap LEs which is what it was. Got it for £12. The game is fun. @brain Yeah Persona 2: Eternal Punishment would be the one I liked better of the two but it's been so long. I don't own any of my old Persona titles pre PS2 era hence I'm rebuying them. I'm definitely getting the collector's ed for this one and I'd ordered it previously from VGP but cancelled since it didn't come with all the shit that PAL is getting which makes for a nice change. Ghostlight does that and they've got a nice version for TiTS as well both of which are still confirmed for q4. But yeah I really am looking forward to a new SMT game outside of the Persona series. I mean I know Strange Journey is SMT4 but I'd really like a proper SMT4 and a remake of Soul Hackers. As for El Shaddai yeah the thing I can say is keep playing and it gets enjoyable since you've bought it already. However there's the whole lack of time aspect. In a way I'm glad Resistance 3 wasn't that long but the game was actually enjoyable and much better than R2. Lots of homages but it gelled well. I can't say much about the MP but the SP was well done. Edit: I actually forgot to mention that I bought Sims 3(PC) for my wife (she wanted it after playing sims social) and bought runaway (the first game) and whispered world too. It's easier to forget digital purchases. edit2: Oh screw this I bought splatterhouse too since it was cheap as chips Edited September 19, 2011 by WTF
