Just pre-ordered this. Was gonna do it on Amazon.ca, but they weren't offering any pre-order bonus. So I reluctantly made my way to gamestop.ca and they were offering some Joker challenge map, which I really don't give a shit about. So then I figured what the hell and headed to bestbuy.ca and they have Robin! Fuck yeah!

It'll probably all eventually come out as regular DLC anyway (at least I hope so because some of those Batman skins are fucking badass!), but this seems like the coolest thing to get right away.

It was originally reported that the Joker Carnival Challenge map would add 4 hours of content but the actual promo vid, and later discussion, seems to imply that it is simply what it is called: a challenge map.

Because the PC version has been delayed I guess, on the plus side, that I can wait it out and see which pre-order bonus is supposed to be the best. Because while I got a good price for my pre-order I wouldn't mind paying a little more for the Robin DLC and avoiding the SteelBook edition I'm supposed to be getting. Mainly I'd like to avoid the SteelBook though. :P

Yes yes, I am a consumer whore. I know.

At least I bought it used.

Since you never check the PXOD GDocs, and you're the perfect person to ask, I shall do so here.

In an article I am writing I mention the threat indicator that Double Agent uses (with green, yellow and red being used to signify whether you're safe, have a chance of being spotted or have been detected). From what I can see, this was not in the earlier entries in the series but I'd like confirmation from someone who has experience with them.

Thanks! :P

Well I haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but from what I remember you're correct. IIRC all the games before Double Agent used a slider bar in the lower right to indicate how visible you were at any given moment. A little indicator on the bar would slide between the light end and the dark end.

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. It's really awesome! Even if you're not a fan of sports or sports games (like myself), there's a lot to love in this revival of one of the best arcade games out there. It's incredibly goofy and entertaining.

I plan on buying this today. I thought this should be an XBLA game to begin with. BOOOOMSHAKALA!

Thanks! Hmm, might have to adjust my article a little then.

Braid's aesthetics are almost physically painful to me. I'm not sure what it is about certain kinds of animation, but it actually makes me feel sick in my head to look at it. The animated sequences of Monty Python and the Holy Grail are the same way.

Just preordered it.

I also downloaded and tried playing NBA Jam and I didn't really enjoy it. The freaking computer blocked all my shots and it's almost impossible to shove them back. Maybe I just suck at the game but it doesn't control quite as well as the arcade classic to me.

Just went on Amazon.ca to browse, mostly out of boredom. But that was right there on the frontpage, a marketplace seller had it for 17$, so 22$ including shipping. Couldn't resist.

I'd been tempted for a while, but could never justify paying 40 bucks for it. Also, I'm pretty sure buying all the DLC for my PC copy would've cost me about the same, if not a bit more.

Also, now if EA decide to be assholes by not putting ME3 on Steam, switching over to PS3 won't be a problem since I'll have a save to import.

I just bought* Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Augmented Edition and it came with Deus Ex: Game of The Year Edition free which was a nice surprise as it wasn't advertised! Both for £0.70. Bargain!

*it's on onlive so I don't quite feel like I own it. It feels even less mine than digital downloads do.

I still don't own ME2. I keep thinking they're going to do a GOTY edition and they keep not doing it.
