toxicitizen
Forgot to post, but I received this earlier this week. I've been enjoying Hot Pursuit a lot, and it made me want to try something a bit more on the simulation side. Gran Turismo still seems like it would be too much for me, so this seemed like a good middle ground.
deanb
Kovach bought me Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity.
toxicitizen
You know, I've always been curious about that series and was hoping it would eventually show up on Steam. Is this like, the first game? Or a stand-alone expansion or what?
TheMightyEthan
@FLD: I think it's a Battle Chest-style 3-game pack.
toxicitizen
Oh, cool. I'll definitely grab it at some point, then.
deanb
Yeah, Trinity is the first game and the Democracy and Entrenchment expansion packs included. It works same as DOW in that you only need to play Diplomacy (the newest) to get everything. Rebellion, due at some point, is an Expandalone. Looks to be priced quite high too (in comparison to getting Trinity) I should note for those not aware of the series: Sins has no campaign mode at all. It's pretty much just Skirmish maps or randomly generated maps. Its single player is a bit like Civilization in that regard. The MP matches also take ages, though unlike Civ are in real time. It's also currently one of the top sellers on Steam, which I'm sure Stardock aren't happy about (while they owned Impulse Brad Wardell wasn't too keen on Steam, especially it being owned and ran by Valve. Something that Stardock owning and running Impulse was fine to do of course.) (p.s Stardock only published Sins, not develop it. That's why it's pretty decent and not a total clusterfuck like Demigod and Elemental)
toxicitizen
Oh, I thought it was developed by Stardock. Also, kind of a hypocrite that Wardell guy lol The fact that the game has no proper campaign kinda makes me less interested in the game, though :/ Then again, if there's no campaign then I won't feel any guilt over never finishing it like I do with most RTSes I play
MetalCaveman
Played a bit during the free weekend on Steam and finally decided to buy it, really fun game!
TheMightyEthan
$70 total on Newegg. Figured I could upgrade to 16GB of RAM.
Hot Heart
Had to cancel my Arkham City order with Tesco. Got some odd email about a delay and I've waited too long to be screwed over now! Bought it from my usual (reliable) place, which will be about £4 more but I get the Robin DLC, which looks p cool. Strangelove
I saw The Tomb Raider Trilogy at Target for 8 bucks last week, but I already owned it. Ugh.

I'm still getting emails regarding the delay, and I'm unsure if it's fully cancelled. I don't have it in my order history to be able to cancel it and since Skyrim was cancelled and still charged and delivered my hopes aren't high. Luftwaffles
*crosses fingers for ridiculous discount on Arkham City in Steam Thanksgiving sale* After all we've been through with the delays and release, it better fucking be cheap. TheMightyEthan
Oh yeah, there's no way I'm paying anywhere close to full price for this game. And I wrote them a letter explaining that and why.
Hot Heart
I'm still getting emails regarding the delay, and I'm unsure if it's fully cancelled. I don't have it in my order history to be able to cancel it and since Skyrim was cancelled and still charged and delivered my hopes aren't high. I've not had the sorts of problems you have, but the whole messing about with the Arkham City PC release seems too much for them to handle. I'm not sure if it really was going to be delivered '6 weeks from 18th November' but when I weighed up the factors, I'd rather pay a little more to guarantee I get it on release (or possibly a day early), have better DLC and don't have a SteelBook. Cancelling mine was easy enough since I've had no problems with seeing my order history. Just clicked to go back far enough in the history, clicked the specific order and clicked to cancel. Then had to wait a short while to receive a cancellation email. The website is not the great though. And I wrote them a letter explaining that and why. Sadly that letter will be filed under "Recycle Bin." If enough people skip out on the game or buy it when it's $20 or less companies may get the idea ... but I doubt it.

WTF
So November's almost done and so far barring what I'll be getting in the steam sales for thanksgiving after today: November Purchases after my last post --> PC Skyrim Orcs Must Die+DLC Humble Introversion Bundle Indie Royale 2 = Nightsky, Scoregasm, Fate of the World+DLC plus some non-steam stuff and gifts) Jamestown Oblivion repurchase Indie Royale 3 (already paid for - no idea what the games are yet). PS3 Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom (edited note, I disposed of my MVC3 copy to get this simply because it was useless, I'm glad I bought that on a gift certificate). Saints Row 3 (I really wish I could've convinced my partner to get the PC version, but oh well I'll pick that up later). Assassin's Creed: Revelations Collector's Edition Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes Hard Corps:Uprising Tekken Hybrid 3DS Tales of the Abyss (PAL gets it this week) Wii Skyward Sword Golden wiimote edition I'll be getting the last New Vegas DLC,Shogun DLC in the steam sale. Might get NWN2 and Dungeon Defenders too. I've held off on Anno because I know the price is coming down in a few weeks so I'd rather wait while I try to finish off some of the games I have. edit: I realised I've a few games that I bought off of gamersgate and sites like that which were cheap and I wanted to own them but since they're not added to steam not 'visible' to me.
