P4: Gritty Reboot
Bought the Super Mario 3D Land / red 3DS bundle for $179.99 "for my son" wink wink nudge nudge. Funded by my mother-in-law. Also picked up Lego Star Wars III for the PC for $6 "to play with my son" wink wink nudge nudge.
BrainHurtBoy...2
I bought the Ocarina of Time 3D / Fucking Sick Zelda-Styled 3DS bundle for $119.99 after trading in my DSi. Then I bought a Wii Motion Plus, since soon enough I'll be getting Skyward Sword. Also, Red Orchestra 2. And the Humble Introversion Bundle. EDIT: How could I forget Ultimate Marvel? Yeah, I got that, too. Edited November 27, 2011 by BrainHurtBoy...
Luftwaffles
Humble Introversion Bundle, a few Fallout New Vegas DLCs, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (for bro-op and then never again), Tropico 1, 2, and 3, and preordered Saints Row 3 a few weeks ago. So far, this sale hasn't been too deadly. I'll wait for a cheaper sale on Space Marine and RAGE.
deanb
Ever since the first Xmas sale a couple years back all sales since have sucked purely because we splashed out so much back then and got most of the older games we've wanted. Preceding sales since have therefore had less to offer, especially as they started with summer sales, now autumn sales and daily deals. It's not helped by the fact most of the "new" games (i.e past year) on sale this autumn while having decent cuts of 50% off and such can still be more than buying them elsewhere purely because Steam sucks for normal prices on AAA games. As for games I've bought: Since I have all the other games from either previous bundles or on Steam I paid $1 for it (split between introversion n humble bundle) And through Cyber Rat I've bought the Fallout: New Vegas DLC. btw if people are wanting short single-playthrough games on the cheap I strongly recommend hitting up OnLive. First game is £1/$1.
Battra92
Contra 4 is awesome. I absolutely hate the word "hardcore gaming" but Contra 4 IS Hardcore with emphasis on the hard. But then, that's what Contra is all about. One hit kills, enemies that require a certain number of hits to kill you, memorizing enemy patterns. Yep, effing classic! Pretty much this. Of course, I found a shitload more stuff to buy once I started digging into the indie side of gaming, but that was significantly less expensive. Oh and forgot to post but I took a gamble and pre-ordered the next Indie Royale, the Really Big Bundle, a few days ago. So, uh...

toxicitizen
Just bought the Indie Game Music Bundle for 11$. I feel like it's worth it for the VVVVVV, Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac soundtracks alone, even though I'm pretty sure I already owned the Binding of Isaac soundtrack through Steam. But it's so weird to have to grab the files from the game install directory that I never bothered to get them and just forgot about it until now lol Edited November 28, 2011 by FLD
deanb
Just got the Indie Royale Bundle, £1.92, not a bad price should tide me over even if I don't play many of them.

TCP
I've never played a Metal Gear. I think I'll pick that up and just read a synopsis on the first Solid game.
toxicitizen
Do yourself a favor and don't do that. First game is available on PSN store and is well worth playing. It's probably better than most games you've played this year.

"That's the game's fault for not making it obvious." It's pops up on screen every time you approach an enemy. How much more obvious could it be? And how could you miss that, P4? Hot Heart
Hey, I was mimicking/mocking something said elsewhere. Maybe he turned prompts off? I guess that's a thing. Like turning the yellow highlight thing off.
deanb
It was me that said it in the sonic thread. I thought I'd keep quiet cos as FLD pointed out it pops up every time you're near an enemy making it pretty obvious.
toxicitizen
Yeah, the quotation marks kinda gave me the feeling you were making a joke, but I wasn't entirely sure... Didn't see any harm in commenting, either way. As for turning it off, I don't remember there being an option specific to that, but it's very likely I just missed it. Didn't really bother turning things off as the glow thing didn't bother me that much. But yeah, I guess there's no way he could've missed it unless the option was there and he had turned it off.. Blame it on me posting that soon after waking up and my brain not being entirely booted up yet.
