TheMightyEthan
lol, yes! That's step 1 in my plan for world domination. No, the real reason is because playing Revelations I realized how superior the PC experience is (now that they've removed that shitty always on internet requirement). I'll probably sell my console copies. And the first image, as you might have guessed, is AC1.
toxicitizen
Ended up giving it a pass when it was 15$ a few weeks ago. Now it's 10$. Good enough for me.
TCP
Just pre-ordered Xenoblade Chronicles! Now I am excited for April for more reasons than just the NHL playoffs (...and end of winter..)

toxicitizen
Never played any games of the series and this popped up on Steam today. It's also 75% off until tomorrow, so I figured it was worth 2,50$ if only to see why Peter Molyneux gets so much crap The sale has only just begun, but I'd say 2,50$ makes for a reasonable first day
TheMightyEthan
The game itself isn't why Peter Molyneux gets crap, it's the ridiculous promises he made about the game before it released. If you just judge the game on its own merits then it's (imo) a pretty good action rpg.
CorgiShinobi
Yep, pretty much what Ethan said. The game is actually pretty good, but Molyneux made ridiculous promises in the sense that Fable would "revolutionize" games and thus it would be, for its time, the most spectacular game to come in years. TCP
Yeah, Lion Head PR people need to tell him not to talk anymore. I love Fable 2. Fable 3 had a lot of promise but could have used another 6 months of development.
toxicitizen
Yeah, I realize that. I mean, there's this general sentiment that the Fable series tends to underdeliver. But I know that's only because Molyneux has a tendency to oversell. I mean, I don't expect the game to be bad. I wouldn't have bought it if I did, regardless of how cheap it was. TheMightyEthan
Fable 3 had a lot of promise but could have used another 6 months of development. This is so true it's not even funny. I loved Fables 1 & 2, but every time someone says they want Fable 3 I'm like "NOOO! Don't do it!" *Edit* - That's a little harsh. I liked the first half of the game, but the second half lacks any kind of weight whatsoever. Also fuck the sanctuary or whatever the hell they called that BS menu replacement. TCP
The first half (which was more like the first 3/4th) was pretty much Fable 2 without any imagination. The last section was just a mess. At least it wasn't on rails though...
FMW
I have dropped some fat pre-order dollars at my local Gamestop. I have not yet completely paid these purchases off, that is on my to-do list for Christmas money should I receive any. I pre-ordered Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii, and Devil Survivor 2 for DS. I pre-ordered Xenoblade because it's a new IP from Nintendo and it's the kind of game I like to see in my marketplace. I'm buying it both to play it and to influence the market. I pre-ordered Devil Survivor 2 because the first Devil Survivor came up with a unique and fun spin on turn based strategy. Also because it'll be impossible to find approximately 6 seconds after release. Also, I reckon my DS deserves a hell of a send off, it's been a fantastic device for me. I plan to put aside the 3DS and play this game on the old faithful DS Phat I got in that first Christmas of the DS release.
Mister Jack
I didn't buy it myself but I got Dead Island as a gift in a steam four pack. I know the game got kind of an average reception, and I can definitely see how it would get boring when you play alone, but if you have a group of friends together it's a lot of fun. deanb
I'm still happy with Tropico 3 (thanksverymuch), you'll have to say what, if any, differences there are.
toxicitizen
Yeah, I feel like I haven't played Tropico 3 (or its expansion) anywhere near enough to justify getting 4 anytime soon. Plus, from what I understand, it's largely the same game. Kinda tempted to get Recettear, though. The demo made it look like a fun game, but I always thought it seemed a bit overpriced at 20$. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, from what I've heard it's basically Tropico 3.5. Also this:

Strangelove
For 5 bucks I couldnt say no. Ive never played it, but for 5 bucks ill give it a shot. At least its supposed to have good production values.

Hot Heart
Was trying to avoid getting stuff in the Steam sale but I grabbed The Longest Journey as well as Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. I didn't buy the bundle though, since it actually works out slightly cheaper to buy them 'separately' (one has 75% off, the other has 50% off. Bundle makes them both 50% off). Gonna try and make a concerted effort to actually play them. Yeah, right...

Battra92
Battra, were your parents sexually repressive? Just wondering. No more than normal parents. I mean, I didn't grow up in a Shaker household or anything. As for the games in question, I bought the collection more for being decent looking Cute-em-ups. Gundemonium reminds me a lot of the Parodious series, so far.
