I need to pick up Last Specter but I haven't seen it in any stores around me. I hope that Layton isn't losing its appeal. It's a great series and I can't wait to play the 3DS game if/when it's released.

As an FYI, the British and US releases have different dubs.

Yeah funnily enough, it seems to be only Luke's voice actor that is different! Layton's is the same, but the American actress they hired for Luke in the US dub is clearly trying to mimic a British accent. Plus the UK actress actually sounds like a proper child.

But I'm getting ahead of myself......just preordered.......on amazon......even though I haven't finished Xenoblade yet (75 hours in!)......

The Last Story Collector's edition

Resistance 3 showed up in the mail today! Outside of Fallout 3 (which doesn't count) I don't think I've played a FPS since Perfect Dark... besides about 5 minutes of COD4.

The Vita store has finally updated, downloaded Escape Plan and Rayman Origins. I was going to pick up Lumines Electric Symphony but I've never played a Lumines game before, so I downloaded the game as the 35 dollar price tag looks a little steep, we'll see how I like it.

Cool. Wonder how many of us are on PS3. Cowboy_Poet already brought up the idea of playing co-op. Would be cool if we could get a whole squad together. I think the co-op is 4-players?

Interested, Strangelove?

Im down for that. I havent tried the multiplayer demo, but im sure ill like it once the actual game comes out.

Oh fuck yes! I've waited a long time for this!

Now to finish my homework that's due in tomorrow while it downloads...

edit: oh, and this arrived this morning

I've never really been into MMOs and actually tried WoW when it had a 14 days trial (it was also pre-Cataclysm). Was bored to tears with it and only played for about an hour before uninstalling it.

For some reason, I decided to give it another shot a few days ago now that it's basically free-to-play until level 20. First few levels were as boring and tedious as I remembered them to be, but once I left the starting area and actually started exploring the world and cities, I was suddenly having a lot of fun. It basically felt like an Elder Scrolls game world, but insanely larger and with other people in it, which is actually pretty cool. So I figured I'd get vanilla WoW and see how it goes. Knowing myself, it's possible I'll just get tired of the game before my free month runs out.

Now the question is do I register my key and upgrade my account right away, or do I keep playing the Starter Edition until I hit the level cap. The cap is at 20 and I'm about halfway there, so I can't imagine it's going to take me long either way. But I think a lot of stuff is restricted right now, like chat and whatnot.

Definitely excited for this one.

Don't get me wrong, great game, but I mean... That price? Really? It came out YEARS ago, and as far as I'm aware they've not added anything new. Really should have been cheaper, at least in my opinion. Still a very good game and I hope you enjoy it!

So I'm intrigued by Connorrs comment of "That price?". So I check Steam and

You could buy a new game for that much. Probably does explain their recent comments of being fine with it being pirated. It's like a tenner now on 360. £15 would have been a good price for an old game. Then again it was originally published by MS and they may have given Remedy some funny ideas on how to price older games on Steam.

What? 30$ is a lot now? :s (hmm, actually as I finished typing this post I realized that perhaps the conversion to pounds makes it more expensive for Dean)

It only came out 2 years ago. I mean, I sure as hell wouldn't have paid 50 bucks for it out of principle, but this is a perfectly reasonable pricepoint considering it just came out, imo. As far as I'm concerned (i.e. as someone who does not own a 360) it's a new release, and a AAA one at that. Plus, they actually put some efforts into making a proper PC version, so I'd say they deserve the support if only for that.

I'll admit the graphics sometimes look a bit dated, but that's mostly been apparent in cutscenes so far.

I was wondering that myself. $30 seems perfectly reasonable for a game of its caliber, but I'm not sure if there was some steam conversion issues that I don't know about from US to Euros or Pounds.

It's £26 over here which is ~$41 ($30=£19). As a comparison I picked up Witcher 2, new, for £25. Alumar and Jagged Aliance are £30 each too. Alan Wake currently has a going price of £10 on consoles, so it's quite a mark up in price for the porting. I guess one man's two year old port is another man's new release and folks are fine to pay whatever they want, but I was a bit shocked to see the price as high as it was. Yes there's room to be higher still, and Iv'e a feeling for some it'd be a fine price if it was to be £35. But for a two year old game asking almost as much as for games that are only two weeks old is a bit of a gamble.

Well you could have got it from Greenmangaming for 33% off so if you're in the UK it works out to approx 16.66£ (this was yesterday though unfortanately) or $20 and it's a steam registrable game.

Had people gone that route it's reasonable even for here.

BTW it's amalur, AMALUR dammit. Not Alumar :P. Everyone's making that mistake XD. It's like the rouge-rogue thing.

I've spent about 25 hours on that game already and need more time to play it. Meh so sucks that I've not had so much free time.
