Mercurial
Yeah, it's free, but I donated a bit to unlock the extra player slots. Fuckin love that game.

SkyGriever
I just bought SSF4 for PS3. It's arriving next week from Amazon.
TheMightyEthan
My fiancee played it at my friend's house and really liked it, so I bought it for like $10 used.
TheMightyEthan
Just got it in the mail, and apparently it's actually a brand-new, factory-sealed copy, not just the "excellent" used copy they marked it as.
CorgiShinobi
Isn't it amazing when people get that lucky? I had a friend who got the entire Friends series for FREE because supposedly the quality wasn't as described. They worked great for her so we don't know what the seller was talking about. Cyber Rat
Ethan, if it's the Xbox version like you linked, we could play it online? It's the only version for the PC, but it has cross-platform support with the Xbox version.

So how did she end up with it for free? I'm confused. @Cyber Rat: Haha, I'd play it with you, but I suck terribly. I got it for my fiancee cause she loves it. You can always use the right stick shortcuts, one online option or another lets you use them. Ragna is a pretty noob friendly character. Anywho, just bought DeathSpank TOV since it was half off. Currently have 1200 MSP an no idea what to buy. Tried a few things ... Comic Jumper is clearly overpriced and is not nearly as good as TP's last games. Super Meat Boy was also an awful demo. Anyone got any ideas?
Cyber Rat
"Obtain" the full version of Super Meat Boy for the PC, test it thoroughly, then reconsider buying it for the Xbox. It's a really good platformer if you're into old school platformers.

It's a really good platformer if you're into old school platformers. I'm fine with difficult platformers, it's just SMB seemed difficult for all the wrong reasons. I found that the titular Meat Boy controlled awfully. Because I'm a total loser: I'm jealous. I would totally buy a PS3 just for that game. Can't speak for the demo because I have no idea what it's like, but the thing with the difficulty is that the game pretty much prepares you for the most difficult levels on your first playthrough. It's not really cheap difficulty, it's more of a "Here's the level. Go get 'em champ!" and you're all "You're kidding..." Of course it's not everyone's thing, but I've found that a lot of recent demos show very little of how the game really is. Just ask Dean about his ordeal with Just Cause 2. My only guess is that they really wanted Friends out of their household.

TheMightyEthan
I'm still debating on Homefront. Looks cool though. I'd be getting it on PC, so I might demo it first.

SkyGriever
Bought them a few minutes ago for $15 at Wal-Mart. Apparently since they didn't sell well they reduced the price to get rid of them. Their loss my gain.

TheMightyEthan
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O0KICS/ref=ox_ya_os_product It's a surround-sound adapter for headphones. I'd been considering it, but thought that the headphones were surround-soundy enough as it was, even though I knew they could be better. Then I stumbled across these audio demos for 3D headphone sound ( http://onemansblog.com/2007/05/13/get-your-virtual-haircut-and-other-auditory-illusions/ ) and they blew me away. I know that the surround-sound adapter won't give me positioning as awesome as those demos do, it's just that until I listened to them I hadn't realized that it could be so much better.
