Luftwaffles
$7.50 on Amazon, was going back and forth over if I wanted to buy it or not. Finally decided it was at least worth 8 bucks.
toxicitizen
$7.50 on Amazon, was going back and forth over if I wanted to buy it or not. Finally decided it was at least worth 8 bucks. I got my copy yesterday and am playing through it atm. It's pretty damn good. Different from the first one but that doesn't bother me too much. The only thing that I find kinda disappointing is how so far it has very little to do with the original as far as the plot goes.
Luftwaffles
Yeah, I had played a portion of the singleplayer at a friends, and sort of ragequit because it felt completely different than Crysis, as it was set in a city and really quite linear, but I figured this would be about the time to try again, as I really don't care if it's not faithful to the old Crysis anymore. Crysis 1 wasn't really that great as far as gameplay goes, IMO, and I'm hoping some of the changes in 2 might actually help me enjoy it a bit more. Faiblesse Des Sens
It's linear but not so linear as there's only one way to accomplish something. It's somewhere between the original Crysis and your typical FPS.
toxicitizen
Yeah, most areas offer different ways to approach your objectives. It's nowhere near as open as the original's island but it's far from being a corridor shooter.
Yantelope V2
I liked Crysis 2 better than the original.
excel_excel
Got this on Friday, only €45 in HMV, same price as a normal version, and it probably won't go down in price anytime soon, soooo weeee! If you register Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandora's Tower all on Nintendo club you get sent some fancy looking coins!
TheFlyingGerbil
Ugh, I'm sooo tempted by that, but I'd need to get Pandora's Tower and Last Story. I will be getting them, but I didn't want to get them just yet. Edited April 16, 2012 by TheFlyingGerbil

TCP
I didn't even know Pandora's Tower was getting a UK released. How is it?
TheFlyingGerbil
Only going from reviews, it is the weakest of the three, but still a solid title.
Little Pirate
Not 100% sure this will work with my guitar or not, but gonna see if it's any good or not.
CorgiShinobi
I've got it, but I haven't gotten that deep into it. I wouldn't worry about compatibility, but Rocksmith gives you this detailed guide about the video and audio sync options. HDMI is actually not the preferred option, so it takes some tweaking. I believe component is fine, but again I haven't touched it in a while.
TheMightyEthan
Got another one because Archery and Gladiator Duel, the two activities in Sports Champions I was most interested in, are lame with only one Move controller.
TheMightyEthan
On a semi-related note I was super excited to see House of the Dead 4 on PS3 with Move support, as I played the crap out of 3 on Xbox with a light-gun, but based on the demo it's completely unplayable with any gun peripheral because it doesn't recognize nav controllers and the grenade button is on the left trigger. TheFlyingGerbil
Finally bought the Witcher as it was only $5 on GOG. When I actually get around to playing it is another matter. I hope these next two are nearer the 100 than 30 that the reviews are spread between on metacritic. TheFlyingGerbil
I just bought: Doodle God - like Alchemy but more polished plus quests and mini games Burn the Rope - not like cut the rope Angry birds - do I need to explain? Max & the Magic Marker - platformer where you draw the platforms De Blob - a puzzle game, not like the console version. for my Windows Phone. They're all reduced to 79p and while I probably wouldn't have bought them all (especially in one go) if that was normal pricing on WP7 marketplace, they're usually over £2 each so I'm hoping MS will realise cheaper pricing will actually lead to better sales. Plus they're all LIVE games so each have 200 gamer points

Faiblesse Des Sens
I picked up the latest humble indie bundle. Botanicula had me smiling in public. A lot easier than Machinarium puzzle wise but still very enjoyable so far.
CorgiShinobi
Rayman Origins. It's been $30 for a long time, and I had a gift card that made it $10. I'm also going back home for the summer so maybe some friends will come over and play co-op.

TheFlyingGerbil
Just bought it on GOG as it's on sale. I remember having it on my Amiga 500 but don't remember playing it.
TCP
Picked up Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 (I had a 360 copy originally, beat it, loved it, not sure if I'll play all of it again, but I put it in just to watch the opening cinematic this afternoon and ended up playing for an hour and a half). Also picked up Arkham Asylum for PS3, another one that I originally had for 360, but I lost interest in it the first time, decided to spend 14 dollars and buy it again for PS3, since I was such a big fan of Arkham City. Also got Portal 2 (my first ever Valve game!), which will hopefully be a good co-op experience for me and my ladyfriend.
TheMightyEthan
Did you sell the 360 versions of those games? Or why are you picking them up again?
TCP
I still have them, but I've essentially retired my 360 at this point. If the games were still 60 dollars, I wouldn't have bought them, but they're dirt cheap now. (This is what happens when you're young and have too much disposable income, one day, I will hate myself!) Though, a large portion of my 360 catalog is getting purged soon. Edited May 4, 2012 by TheCowboyPoet
