Games You've Bought

Having finished ME1 I picked up ME2. Any recommendations with regard to DLC? I'll probably get all of it, but just curious if there are any "must have" items.

I would say only Lair of the Shadow Broker is the real 'must-have'. The others are amusing in their own way, and Arrival does set up ME3, but could be ignored.

I'd ignore any of the weapon and appearance packs, obviously. If you wanted an overview of the others: Overlord is an interesting little mission involving the geth, with a 'powerful' ending. Kasumi is an interesting enough character, and the mission is a fun, little diversion.

I'm assuming you got Zaeed free with the game? If not, I'm not sure whether he's worth it. I found him amusing but I know some people dislike him. He is useful to have though.

I'd pretty much agree with Hottie. Definitely get Lair of the Shadow Broker, and I would also recommend Arrival, though mostly for the plot setup for 3. In ME2 you can play after the end of the main story, so for Arrival I'd wait to decide until after you beat the game, and then if you want to see the story development buy it then. I think LotSB is also best played after the end of the main story.

I think Kasumi and Zaeed are both worth getting, but they're definitely lower-priority than Arrival and LotSB. Same goes for Overlord and Firewalker. Firewalker is probably the weakest DLC overall, but the end of it is kinda interesting.

Yeah, well, that's what happens when you ditch the lead writer and then completely change the basic premise of the series that you've been building for two games. :P

*Edit* - And that's probably enough said on that topic. Don't want to restart the whole ME3 argument.

Because I hate myself, I keep purchasing Bethesda games for PS3.

Actually Oblivion on PS3 ain't bad. Was my first shot at the game on the summer I first got my PS3, got about 120hrs or so in it. No issues like there is with Skyrim (though I remember back when Oblivion first hit PC there was issues with it depending on your GPU. Made grass purple iirc)

Yeah I poked around, and thought it ran fine... though Skyrim ran fine at first too.

To be fair, I played through all of Fallout 3 a few months ago, and it ran great on PS3.
