Mercurial
http://www.instructa...Chocolate-Cake/ Just made a mug of this myself. I was missing vanilla and chips, but it turned out okay could have used a pinch of salt or something to help with the flavor. TheRevanchist
Oh, that looks good! To bad I'm already baking some brownies tonight. Maybe tomorrow night.
TheFlyingGerbil
I've tried that recipe, and this one too. I prefer the latter as it has a really nice gooey texture and doesn't need and egg so it's a fair bit easier to make, less like a proper cake though. Nexus
I made such a mess making a brownie in a mug.

Mercurial
http://www.instructables.com/id/5-Minute-Perfect-Deli-style-Egg-Bagel-Sandwich-in-/ Just tried that. It's pretty fucking good the eggs were insanely fluffy and almost fell out of the mug though.

Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
Shooter's sandwich. http://lafoodie.com/post/11842947663/the-shooters-sandwich Ingredients can be whatever, but the gist is this; you go to the bakery and buy a large sourdough roll. Open that up and hollow it like a bowl. Fill that bowl with cooked meat, onions, whatever. Then balance heavy things on it for 4-6 hours until it's completely flat. Mercurial
That's not exactly quick, but I guess that could be an overnight type of deal so you can eat at work or something.

Mercurial
I am gonna make the egg thing again tomorrow and I'll take pics this time so you can see my delicious results. http://www.instructables.com/id/1-ingredient-Ice-Cream/ Putting the bananas in the freezer for tomorrow to try this out. TheFlyingGerbil
Anyone dare to try out ice cream bread? I really want to but don't want to waste a load of ice cream if it turns out as weird as I imagine it would. The flat crispy ones in the comments look gorgeous, as my favourite bit of a cake is to make a slightly crispy crust to trim off and eat. yum. Mercurial
I'll have to try that later, but I don't think I have any self rising flour or ice cream.
Nexus
Quick recipe #1:  Fauxbalaya:  Rice Red Pepper Chorizo Pinch of Cayenne Pepper, Paprika and Chilli Powder   Boil kettle, put rice and boiled water into microwavable dish, drop in some Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Chilli Powder into the water. Stir the rice/water mix together, throw it in the microwave for 10 minutes.  Fry peppers and chorizo in a wok/frying pan.  Drain rice. Pour rice into pan. Mix together.  Eat. Tasty.
Mercurial
Here is the egg after finishing it up   On ze sanvich.   Ze profile view.   And finally the banana ice cream.   On to the subject of the ice cream. I was a fucking dumbass and left the peels on the bananas when I put them in the freezer so I had to numbingly peel them with a knife. Turns out I did have a food processor, but it's a piece of shit. It turned out with a bunch of pieces of the banana, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever eaten.
Strangelove
It's strange how the egg seems to resemble the banana ice cream a lot more than the banana ice cream you made. At least to me it does. You still can't go wrong with eggs or bananas though, no matter what they look like. Mercurial
Presentation is not my thing. So I made the bread pudding and jesus fuck if it doesn't taste like cake at all like some people said. Kind of tastes like eggy bread with a hint of sugar. Probably should have cooked it more or something. Anyways I can't seem to get the images off my phone so just imagine you mixed a bunch of crap into a cup. deanb
Bread n Butter pudding was the final straw in my bread based meals in year 8 cookery classes. (My mum at the time ran a pub kitchen, and has generally be doing catering work on n off most her life). So simple, and tasty, but yeah it'd be neat if we were taught more than that at cookery (well, didn't matter much in my case, my mum taught me how to cook. Mostly) Â Most of my quick meals are shitty things like noodles n sandwiches. I usually have a bunch of time on my hand, or specific group of ingredients in the house so I'd take my time in making stuff. To the point of making stuff night before (like pasta salads and chicken sandwiches). Â Omelettes are my fave quick food, generally good for you (what with the high egg content), and you can toss in whatever you've got left over. I like to make stuff with mushrooms like bolognese or a fry up so tend to have mushrooms going begging, onion, bit of ham, etc.

eggy bread with a hint of sugar sounds nice to me as that's what I put on eggy bread. I'm gong to have to take the plunge and make it one of these days. Thanks for being the guinea pig!  edit: all that nonsense about egg yolks is a load of... nonsense, IMO. Edited July 3, 2012 by TheFlyingGerbil
