TheMightyEthan
You know, I really don't get the GOP sometimes. Even if you think being gay is wrong, isn't employment one of the cornerstones of their entire philosophy? And then after saying how important jobs are, you're gonna support making someone unemployable for such a meaningless reason? But hey, it's not like this is the first time we've seen hypocrisy in politics. Also the test subtly implied that I was a slut. It's not hypocrisy from their point of view. Employers should be free to do whatever they want, so if they don't want to hire gay people then it's not the government's place to say they can't. Employment isn't the cornerstone of their philosophy, free-market is, so any government regulation is a Bad Thing .
Mal
Kind of expected: Straight / Ambisexual I lean more towards females but if a dude manage to go beyond bromance with me, then I'm chill with that. Oh, why is there isn't someone who can carry me around like a princess, a 5'11" 190 lbs princess?

Waldorf and Statler
It said I'm one point ambisexual. Which I'm fine with. That might come with my looking at men sometimes and thinking "damn that's a handsome motherfucker"

TheMightyEthan
Mine was Straight / Flexamorous (did we really need a new word for polyamorous?). Polyamorous means you have multiple ongoing romantic relationships at the same time. Flexamorous, as defined by that site, means that you're open to romantic relationships with people of either sex. Alex Heat
I know, I know. I'm just being a snarky jerk (the most original thing on the internet!). So far, I haven't seen any dudes that I would be interested in any sort of romantic relationship with yet. Except Troy Baker's voice. TheMightyEthan
I wasn't 100% sure how to answer those questions myself, because I wasn't sure what qualified as a "romantic relationship". I mean, I could totally see myself being in like a hetero-lifemate type situation, but is that what they're talking about?

Mal
Looks like I now know my first transgender person. For obvious reasons, this one is a bit harder to come out with since even I am unsure what I think about it and I'm chill with all sort of people. Mister Jack
One of my oldest friends is transgender. He only came out to me recently but I kinda knew about it for years because he was really bad at hiding it. I just never said anything. He's a nice guy, if a bit awkward at times, and seeing that I already knew, it didn't really affect how we interact with each other. Unfortunately, every other transgender person I've met has been a fucking asshole.
Alex Heat
I think I know about two level-headed and rational transgender people. The rest I've encountered tend to be the sorts of folks who use 'check your privilege' as a first line of defense on any sort of criticism and you have to walk on eggshells around them JUST in case. And when I say walk on eggshells, I mean that ANYTHING you say could provoke some kind of argument. Though I find a little amusement in someone telling me, a half-Jamaican, to check my privilege. Popular Post madbassman39
I was reading some article about a transgender person and the comments sometimes just really upset me. The one argument I absolutely hate is the "Well he was born as a he so I am going to call him a he!" That is the absolutely dumbest and most assholey argument ever. It is a selfish and inconsiderate way of acknowledging another person. Calling a person by the gender they would prefer to be called by is no harm what-so-ever. You don't have to agree with someone to be considerate to them! By calling a transgender person by a different gender than they would like to be called is just being a dick to that person. If my name was Richard, but instead I decided to go by Willy, because of what ever reason I wanted to, nobody would be a big enough dick and say "I'm going to call you Richard because that was the name you were born with!" They would accept that you wanted to be called Willy and move on. Now I know that calling someone by the gender they would prefer to be called by is a form of acceptance of their life style, but it doesn't have to be, it can be just a way of being polite to a person. I cannot stand the world we live in. If you don't agree with someones way of life, you meet it with hostility. We live in a very angry world and I just wish people would calm down. I truly believe in letting people be who they feel/want to be, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Living near San Francisco, I find it to be very accepting of the LGBT community, and when I see two dudes/girls holding hands, kissing , and publicly showing their affection I get this overwhelming sense of pride of how far we have come as a society. I like to see the world in a positive light at all times.

deanb
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-25183041 Tom Daley has come out as Bi. Though a few folks are remarking that the "I like girls still" stuff is maybe to just stave off media shitstorm, if he's meant to be popular by being attractive to girls there's got to be an element of "I have a chance of dating him" to it, I guess. I'm not caring too much at this stage.
TheFlyingGerbil
hmmm, it was all a bit disturbing the way everyone was perving over him when he was rather young, Pretty much everyone thought he was flaming though. Must be hard to come out as bisexual as there always seems to be a contingent of people who will refuse to believe you.
Mister Jack
There seems to be a greater stigma these days against being bisexual than against being 100% gay.
TheMightyEthan
There's a perception by both gay and straight people that bi people are just sluts.
deanb
Yeah there was a gay news site that (until they changed it due to complaints) had written it as "Tom Daley has come out, even if it's just as bisexual for now". In fact I'd say the stigma against bisexuals is strongest in gay communities over straight ones. If a girl is bi they're straight but looking for attention, if you're a bi guy then you're gay but not ready to admit it. Which as I've seen concluded on this observation: 'it assumes everyone is after the D".
deanb
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-26177050 FB have massively expanded their gender options. A positive move, though I'm struggling to come up with 50. Unless they're including the far out ones like otherkin and such?
