I've only used one briefly and for an action game, but I'm skeptical that it would be better than m+kb for anything else. I like my regular gamepad and ps4 controller way better for action games, too. The best couch PC gaming investment I ever made was buying a simple lap desk and wireless keyboard and mouse.

I tried out the Steam controller for the exact reason you mention, but I was not sold on it. It certainly is easier to navigate Steam's interface using a mouse and keyboard than with the Steam Controller and Big Screen mode.

I'm used to my lap desk anyway, as much as my wife is not a fan of it hanging around the living room.

Nier Automata is on GMG for about $49.

I got it on Steam and I probably will just eat the full price for the possibility of refunding it if the port is bad. I seem to recall you can't refund keys from elsewhere. Like sure I can refund it once confirmed to be good then buy it on GMG but I'm unsure if I will be flagged for refund abuse.

Ooh, dark cloud's in there - someone recommended it ages ago as I like Zelda, but it wasn't on PSN at the time and I forgot about it until I saw it just now. Looks like it's just upscaled rather than remastered so I hope it doesn't look too awful.

And I will recommend:

  • FTL (especially for @Pojodin)
  • Hotline Miami

And actually that's it as either I don't own certain games which I'm eyeing up, or do own them and wouldn't recommend them (at least at those prices, e.g Satellite Reign). 80 Days I guess I'd suggest, though I've only played the phone version but I imagine the PC version will be much the same just bigger.

I have heard good things about Sunless Sea btw,

@Mr. GOH! Act IV just came out last summer, I would expect Act V to release around 2020.

It sucks beacuse I really want to play it (and already own it) but I still can't decide whether I want to wait for the final act or not. I'll have probably forgotten everything by the time it comes out, so... :/

THQ Nordic humble bundle for PS4. Unfortunately (though not for most of you) it's largely limited to the Americas. (though I do have a US account for getting Need For Speed soo I am tempted)

Also "Out There: Omega" is 10p atm. (worth noting they do a weekly 10p game and app deal on the Play Store. Usually highlighted in the banner at the top of the App and Games section of the store).

If you get Google Rewards (and don't lie on it) you'll make enough to cover pretty much all these apps. There's some decent ones now n then.

They (Nordic) keep saying they want to make the third game but after the second one completely failed to follow up the first one's amazing cliffhanger, I sorta lost interest. Then THQ went under and Vigil Games shut down...

I do plan on playing the remasters eventually since I got them for free and they're still good games but I'm not holding my breath for the continuation of the series. Especially since it seems I'm in the minority in not wanting a fucking 4-player coop game out of this series. Like, I can't imagine a worst possible scenario for an hypothetical Darksiders 3 or 4...

speaking of google rewards, do you guys not get half as  many surveys/money as you used to?

I've actually found of late I used to get 6p for when you've not been to a place it thinks you have, but recently I get 9p. Being in a city I guess means I do get more location clarification/rating stuff.

This seems a pretty dang solid deal if you're in the US. Not only get the USB dongle for your PC, but pretty sure that DS4 controller is cheaper than if it was standalone.

Green Man Gaming is having a huge Easter sale right now.  There's lots of stuff on it, but I particularly wanted to mention they have the full Hitman season for $25, or the Upgrade Pack for $21.  That's the best price I've seen since Gamestop's Christmas sale, and nowhere else has ever been even close to that one.
