Mister Jack
Kind of a weird way to honor the destruction of one the world's most important historical buildings but OK, free is free I guess.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I agree it's weird. They're also giving a €500,000 donation, and I'm not complaining, but it would have made more sense to me if instead they'd said they'll donate all the proceeds from this game to it for a certain period of time. TheMightyEthan
The very extremely excellent Transistor is free on the Epic Store for the next two weeks. I'd be curious to know what fraction of their accounts are like mine and have never bought anything besides the free games.
deanb
Same here. I wonder if it'll end up like the Amazon App Store where they used to give away a bunch of "premium" apps on the daily and in the end for myself after a few phone moves I figured to get the apps I liked using...on Play Store (cos setting up multiple app stores in't painful but is a faf. And the Amazon App Store was quite clunky). So it's quite possible that that in the long run, especially if Epic don't bother developing the functionality of the store and rest on their Fortnite laurels, folks will just gravitate back towards Steam. I'd imagine at this point proceeds from that games sales at this point are maybe in the few thousands.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, it's probably not much, but they also probably could have gotten a spike if they'd put it on sale and been like "Hey, all proceeds go to Notre Dame!" I'm not complaining, it just seems a little odd.
TheMightyEthan
Humble board game bundle has a bunch of great digital board games. Tiers like normal, but it's only $12 for the whole pack.
CorgiShinobi
Might as well post this, for a laugh. Purchase a PS4 Pro Console and receive a free PlayStation Classic! I mean, if people are going to buy the best thing Sony has to offer right now, might as well throw in the worst thing Sony has to offer too!
Mal
Still pricey but not $69.99 pricey. I'm in for one since I need a backup plan for the joycons. Maybe the next iteration of the Switch will fix the joycons but for now, I'll have this. Edited June 9, 2019 by Mal
TheMightyEthan
What's wrong with your joycons?
Mal
Joycon drift. You can mitigate it like with your method but it's physically baked into how the sticks/joycons. It's just a matter of time of wearing out the contact pads.

Mister Jack
If you own a Quest headset Meta is giving out three free months of Quest+ right now, which is basically Game Pass for VR headsets. It includes two new free games every month as well as a rotating catalog of games to download. Great way to try some of those titles that looked neat but you didn't want to pay full price for them.
