deanb
Endless Space is half off on Steam from today (somepoint in time) to 18th to celebrate 300K sales. I actually quite enjoyed it, quite a disservice to the game I've not set aside more time to test the intricacies. Oh and a 4th free DLC pack coming for it too. http://store.steampowered.com/app/208140/
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I really like Endless Space a lot. One of the cooler 4X battle systems too.

If I may give a suggestion to interested parties, if you like point and click adventure games and quirky humor, and happen to really miss Monkey Island, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Deponia. Strangelove
3DS XL is $159.99 and the 3DS is $129.99 at Target this week. If I can get a ride over there Im getting one. THough Im not sure which one to get. I actually like portables to be...portable and Id like to save a little money, but I hear the XL has quite a bit of improvements. I dunno. TheFlyingGerbil
If they have them on and side by side to compare, you will not even think there is a decision to be made. the extra screen size is _so_ worth it. It's more comfortable to hold too, but that is just personal opinion (held by a lot of people!).
Strangelove
I figured it stretched the image and makes it more apparent that the resolution isnt that great. Is that the case? Im also upset that theres only 3 colors and theyre all awful. I wonder if there are vinyl skins or something for the XL.
TheMightyEthan
I've heard that the XL makes the 3D sweet-spot bigger and so it's a lot more comfortable to use in 3D.
TheFlyingGerbil
the pixels are quite noticeable in DS games, not too much in 3DS games. gelaskins sells skins for them which are good quality. Though I've only used them on a kindle not a 3DS XL. Though I've only If you're not in a rush for one, limited editions are often sold off quite cheap after the game they're bundled with stops being flavour of the month and I think there are a few of those coming out quite soon. CorgiShinobi
Ever since I used a skin for my GBA SP, I swore off skins for gaming handhelds. Unlike console skins, you're constantly touching and feeling the skin, and honestly I don't think there's a skin out there that would feel good when palming it for a few hours. Waldorf and Statler
@Ethan: I've been playing on my 3DS and play with full 3D. There's only one spot it gets actually painful to see it so I avoid to ever reach that spot. My friends both got the 3DS XL and it's sweet but man is it a bit too big for my tastes, especially with the extra analog.
CrowKnow
There's currently a promo going on at club nintendo where if you register a xl and luigi's mansion/pokemon mystery dungeon you get a free game. http://club2.nintendo.com/3ds-xl-promo/ I've also heard the xl has a longer battery life so it seems like a safe bet Edited March 24, 2013 by CrowKnow
FredEffinChopin
We've got some Tomb Raider action in Amazon's gold box. $41.99 for the console versions, $34.99 for the PC.
Strangelove
Arkham City GOTY (all platforms) is 19.99 at Amazon and GS. Anyone know if the dlc is worth rebuying the game for?
TheMightyEthan
Not really. I enjoyed the extra characters for the challenge maps, but Harley Quinn's Revenge was pretty meh. Also, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the DLC?

NeoStarr
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/18833/ Grand Theft Auto Collection; my all time most favourite franchise, $12.50 this weekend on Steam. That's actually not even a huge deal compared to the normal price but I don't think I'm the only one who hadn't realized how much they've come down in price; and I'm always surprised at how many people didn't bother with Episodes from Liberty City. Lost and the Damned probably has the best story of any GTA game and Ballad of Gay Tony has some of the most entertaining missions and weapons. Hot Heart
I liked Lost and the Damned when I played on 360, but I made the mistake of purchasing the Episodes on Steam to get Ballad. Runs like shit, plus it features some awful mission involving throwing bombs from a boat when I was perfectly happy shooting people. Rockstar have this habit of throwing shit mini-game mechanics into missions and trying to explain them in a little box in the top left hand corner while you're trying to do other things. Gave up on it then and there.
