Popular Post Cyber Rat
So... new BlazBlue coming this Winter. And not an update like Extend: Fun observation: No Mu, nor Lambda. I say "Good riddance" Edited August 5, 2012 by Cyber Rat

Little Pirate
This is awesome~. I'll probably run into more BlazBlue cosplayers next year now. I still need to get continuum shift.
Alex Heat
I think I may put it on my 'rent first, buy later' list just in case they pull another Extend.
SixTwoSixFour
Trailer comments: how come they show new toys for EVERYONE but Hakumen? Sad face. Even freakin' LITCHI has new moves, and she already had like a MILLION. And Hazama gets a curb stomp DD, and... =( Show some love for the white void, Arcsys! Also, amateur translation of Bullet's little rant: "I've got some things to ask you... and I'll beat the answers out of you if I have to!" Sounds like my kinda lady. Alex Heat
I am, however, seriously looking forward to the gag endings. Especially if they're as good as Rachel's in CS.

Hakumen notes: Buffs - new move, no idea what it does. Nerfs - a crappier Japanese voice than CS Seems everyone is missing Astrals? http://shoryuken.com/2012/08/05/blazblue-chrono-phantasma-system-changes-and-move-lists/
fuchikoma
I think they're a little too prolific, personally... I'd still call BB the best fighting game series I've played in many years, but I have 4 of them now, and every time I buy one, it seems like in a week a new one comes out and makes it obsolete. I just can't justify getting any more; I feel like a sucker for getting so many already.
Johnny
How do you own four? There was CT, CS and CS Extend...
Alex Heat
Arc System Works is way better about it than most (at least with BlazBlue), but this is one of the reasons why I feel like fighting game devs need to make them like they're actually games people are going to buy and play at home as opposed to a mere arcade game. Part of the reason I liked BB and GG is the fact that story mode gave a reason to play (inb4 dumb bullshit about hurf blurf fighting games don't need store) since I only played against friends otherwise due to the nature of online communities. Meanwhile, Capcom is especially guilty of the design mentality of 'make it like a quarter muncher who cares about anything else'. Seems to me it would be easier and far more worthwhile to make a fighter then save your revisions and balance patches for when you release an inevitable Super/Extend (just go the SSF4AE method and have a retail release AND a DLC version for people with the original game). Unless you've let an ridiculous infinite or something gamebreaking slip through the cracks, I think it would be fine. But since it is a reasonable idea, it will never happen. Edit: Forgot to clarify that ASW has been good about this shit with BB. They were terrible about it with Guilty Gear. Mister Jack
There was also CS II, which was more or less Extend without Relius. That's oversimplifying it a little bit but I don't feel like doing bullet points.
fuchikoma
CT PSP, CS PS3, CS II 3DS, CSE Vita
Johnny
CS2 was just a patch on home consoles.
Strangelove
When I got the game I was really surprised with how sexualized the game was. Makoto aside of course. For some reason, I thought ASW was above panty shots and weird lesbian suggestive stuff. Id say 9 out of 10 times theres a still illustration of a girl in story mode, itll be an unnecessary panty/ass shot. I dont have a problem with it, but the pandering is in full force here. Its definitely a Japanese game. Edited August 27, 2012 by Strangelove
fuchikoma
CS2 was just a patch on home consoles. Yes and no. It also had all the DLC characters from CS, so with their crazy high DLC prices, you could look at it as $40 - $8 - $8 - $8 = $16 base cost to get it on a new platform, plus the cost of the characters. Personally for me, a new character is worth way more than a system version update since it gives whole new ways to experience the game, while the latter is kind of a hypothetical thing for high level play that doesn't really change the look, sound, or for the most part, the feel of it. ...it's also not clear at all, whatsoever that CS2 would play like CS patched, looking at it in a store. In fact, I think they gave it that name to give the exact opposite impression. Edited August 27, 2012 by fuchikoma

When you read too much into it, GG is actually worse than BB in that regard, but BB is much more straightforward in its presentation.
