Studio Deaths

Mass Effect isn't particularly surprising given the state and reception of Andromeda and I can't say I'm particularly heartbroken to see the IP die off. But the IO thing is some fucking bullshit. Hitman 2016 was not only the best Hitman game in years (possibly ever), it was also one of the best games last year. I shouldn't be surprised to see S-E do idiotic shit at this point but it's frustrating as hell to see them punish IO (or any of their western studios) while their own in-house teams make shit that is painfully mediocre on a fairly consistent basis. You'd never see them cut the budget of the next mainline Final Fantasy yet that series hasn't had a truly amazing game in over a decade. Just... ugh!

Did you guys play Dead Space 3 online, with mics? Cos that was some messed up shit. I remember playing Isaac while my mate was the other dude, and I started tripping balls, seeing birthday shit everywhere, following people he couldn't see, or shooting at non-existent enemies. It was brilliantly messed up.

2 Was still scary for me, but I'm jumpy like a pogo stick* so... :P The atmosphere was pretty creepy too, so that's why both are about the same for me. :P  I played parts of 3 with a friend, but never the whole game, though I did look up the stuff that happens to the other player, and that was pretty fucking cool, but the fact that it required two people to get the most out of it means that I didn't get to enjoy it as much. Also, some weapons were hilariously overpowered, which made the game really fun, but kinda took away from the creepy/horror aspects that made the others awesome. :P I like 3, I think it's a really fun game that did some cool stuff with its coop mode, just that it lacked some of the stuff that made the other two my favourite horror games. :P

The DLC was pretty cool too, and the ending was fucking awesome. \m/ \m/

*I jumped out of my chair while playing Wildlands. :P

Also, why maintain servers for a pre-alpha game that will most certainly not exist either because it is forgotten or the battle royale craze has faded before the project is looked at again.

Enough of their employees were heading off to work on Fortnite at Epic Games anyway, or just any studio that knew what the hell to do with itself.
