CorgiShinobi
So the last episode, "Root Beer Guy," was excellent. I'm finding myself less and less drawn to the antics of Adventure Time, but that episode was high quality stuff. Maybe because it was mostly an adult themed episode, with some issues I can relate with to, that drew me in to the story. I'm definitely not a middle-aged man with a dead-end job capable of ensuing high levels of boredom. Then you have the wife who's feeling more distant from her husband because he can only seemingly find solace in writing a never-ending mystery novel. Mister Jack
If you're like me and have fallen out of watching this show recently because not much has happened, you might want to check out the last two episodes to come out. The Lich is in them, and you know whenever he shows up things get real.
Opabinia
This is wonderful. I'm stuck in seasons one and two because Netflix won't upload more, and this is the only way I can watch it. Is there a way to persuade them? Doubt contacting support will do much. Mister Jack
I doubt the problem is on Netflix's end. I get the feeling Cartoon Network deliberately limits how many episodes they can carry because they want people to watch it on their station. Hulu might have it, but even if they don't I'm sure there are...ways.

TheMightyEthan
Meh, they show fewer commercials than cable/satellite, and also cost a hell of a lot less.
Opabinia
Meh, they show fewer commercials than cable/satellite, and also cost a hell of a lot less. It's obnoxious to me, and it would be out of my budget to get another TV service. SomTervo
It only took two years... But i finally got my gal into Adventure Time! Ive found that it's best to skip straight to season 3 with newcomers. 1 and 2 are great when you get the jib, but as first time watching they need a LOT more work to enjoy fully. Season 3 is where the show peaks and plateaus.
Mister Jack
The finale of season 2 is pretty important, though, seeing that it's the introduction of the Lich. New viewers should at least watch that. Also, which season was Holly Jolly Secrets?
TheRevanchist
Season 3 is a reasonable place to start. The storyline picks up significantly in that season, adding depth to the characters, like Ice King and Marceline. I think of the Lich as a plot mover, but not necessarily the point of the show. I'm still disappointed in Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why Did You Steal Our Garbage?!. I tried to play some more of it, but I couldn't stand the boredom.
Mister Jack
All the Adventure Time games are shit and they really shouldn't be. Help me, Telltale Games, you're my only hope.
Waldorf and Statler
I've basically stopped watching episodes in a season at this point, and once the season is over I see which ones are serious. I know people enjoy the silly episodes but for me the show is amazing when it has episodes focusing on the sad story of the ice king, finn's relationships, marceline and ice king, the lich, etc... the last great episode I remember watching is the ice king one. SomTervo
That was a great episode Yeah, Jack, there are definitely extremely important episodes in S01 and 2. I reckon once we finish 3 I'll suggest we go back and watch season 2. It's still got some classics and yeah, introduces a few key characters/points. Eg we watched the episode the other day where Susan Strong appears and they help her fight the creatures in the sewer... But Yasmin had no idea who the heck Susan Strong was and thought she was some bizarro-world Fiona-alike.
