CorgiShinobi
Uh, yeah... There were always some theories as to whether the princess crowns had some power like Ice King's crown, but there are always so many that I wasn't always 100% on it. Well, I guess some had power. (Though taking LSP's star-thing and it ending up as not necessary was kinda funny.) I think if anything, this episode at least explain to the lil' ones that there's a structure to the Adventure Time world/universe/multi-verse. That a certain character depiction has some deeper meaning, or that Finn is under a trance/dream.
Waldorf and Statler
All this explained is that we won't know what happened for 3 weeks
CorgiShinobi
There are some things, but they don't amount to a lot when all we're given is 11 minutes leading to a cliffhanger. EDIT: I mean, at least we know what the Lich was after this whole time. As to what significance the central prism dimension housing... whoever/whatever... we really don't know. Waldorf and Statler
If there was ever a show that deserved the jump from 11 minutes to 21 it is this one. Problem with that is that episodes would take longer. Edit: Also is it just me or does Princess Bubblegum get less and less likable/perfect with each season? What she was doing was dowright messed up Edited October 23, 2012 by Waldorf And Statler
Mister Jack
She always did kinda fucked up science projects. Honestly I laughed at it just because of how nonchalant those little guys were about getting cut up.
CorgiShinobi
It seemed like Finn and PB were generally alright with each other (Reign of Gunters), but that scene began disturbing, then uncomfortable, and then downright frustrating. At least the next season really is only a few weeks away (November 12). We could have it worse where it could have been next year sometime. I don't think we'll get too many episodes about dimensions, but this could be where the next Fionna and Cake come into play.
Waldorf and Statler
Maybe. But there's already an episode scheduled with Jake and Lady's babies being born so I wouldn't expect more than an episode of this dimension hopping business/
CorgiShinobi
They at least explained the other dimensions by giving an explanation that some dimensions are already linked (Lumpy Space), passing wormholes temporarily link dimensions, or that dimensions can be connected through magic (Nightosphere). And what just happened.
Waldorf and Statler
I lulzed at the jab over LSP's gem though. That was a joke straight out of Arrested Development.
Mal
I cringed the hell out when in PB's scene. I lol'd on LSP's gem and that cliffhanger. Nov. 12th episode will be a two parter so I think this will be resolved then. Edit: Also, I KNEW I seen that Finn before: http://i.imgur.com/QcQbp.jpg Edited October 23, 2012 by MaliciousH
Waldorf and Statler
guess that dream was hinting at it before we realized. And how do you know the next episode is a two parter?

CorgiShinobi
Within the first minute there was a hint as to the twist for this week's episode. It only lasted a frame, and really once Finn went on his quest, it all too wreaked.

I don't remember. Basically When they're taking out her gem and it's all gross and long and they have no clue if it's even important. When they open the book and insert the gems, all of them float away and dash towards the book, with no star shaped holes. You see them all insert in a rainbow of colors, and then you see LSP's gem just flying past the book because it was useless haha
CorgiShinobi
Another little bit, though I don't think this is a secret as this was the Lich's intention for the entire episode. I'm glad someone out there knew Elvish and saw this too.
Mal
Time room... we're going back in time. We're going to see pre-GMW Earth and such. Calling it.

Waldorf and Statler
I'm not saying that happened on Arrested Development, I'm saying I could see that joke on AD. A type of joke they don't outright state it out loud.
Mister Jack
Ah. I dunno if I see it the same way but I get what you mean now.
Waldorf and Statler
Ugh it's gonna be torture to have to wait 3 weeks for a new episode. Regular Show won't be enough to distract me. Sure I have many shows/dramas to watch, but none are Adventure Time
Mister Jack
So uh...what ultimately is Billy's fate? Is he dead?
Waldorf and Statler
Billy? I assume dead. Princess Bubblegum was able to be reconstructed because she's made of candy, and bubblegum at that. you can rejoin bubblegum with sufficient chemicals and reactions. Billy on the other hand was made from flesh.and bones and he was old as it is. I read a line from a previous season opener. When Jake tells Finn about how to win a princess' heart: "It's not easy, but you have to be persistent. You might have to defeat a demon lord, or warp through several worlds. But once you do, you walk up the wizard stairs, and produce your magic key you got in the water world and unlock the chamber door. Then, you walk right up to the princess, and give her a smooch... Does that make sense?" And you know we've never really discussed this. Obviously Pendleton has no problems in making Finn older as the show goes along. And seeing its 11 minute format, episodic content and broad mysterious backstory and huge fanbase this show could go on for as long as they feel Do you think we'll get to a point where we have a 17/18 year old Finn? Finn is already 14, next season he'll probably turn 15. That would only mean 3-4 more seasons or so for him to turn into the 17-18 range. If so what Pendleton is doing is extremely brave. Since he used a kid over an adult making a kid's voice, his voice will be changing all throughout so it was either explain his different voices, change voice actors, or end the show before it got too far. I can't think of many shows where we saw a character get older throughout.
Mister Jack
They pretty much HAD to age him because they wanted to keep the same voice actor, but it's still cool. As for what Jake said...whoa, you think it's foreshadowing? If so, I hope the princess is Flame Princess and not Bubblegum. They make each other happy and Finn doesn't strike me as the type to break a poor sheltered girl's heart.
Waldorf and Statler
See that's the thing. Jake was only giving advice based on the video game and the video game princess Back then when he first said that Flame Princess hadn't been introduced so people just assumed it was gonna be PB. And yeah it seems like foreshadowing. This was right after "defeating" the Lich for the first time. And it seems too close to not be foreshadowing.
