Oh my fucking god this topic is everywhere nowa-fucking days. Hitman has sexist/homophobic criminal thugs. So now the game should be sensitive. Let's go rewrite the Sopranos while we're at it. Make Tony Soprano drop Friendship and Shirley Temple bombs. Somebody might get offended that many bad folks aren't politically correct.

After reading all that hubbub about someone thinking Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2 is kinda racist, it seems like a lot of people weren't looking at it objectively.  After the claim was made, I thought about it for a while and came to the conclusion that she's not TOTALLY a form of racial caricature, it's not too difficult to see why people would see her as a full blown racism thing.

 

Short version: People are silly.

Eh I'm tired of white guilt in general. It's like people can't write something that references a certain group (in this case wangsta talk which has transcended ghettos and is more of a parody nowadays thanks to rappers) without it being racist.

 

Next we'll be saying that a game featuring an asian in the background eating some rice balls while making anime faces is racist.

I imagine there'd have still been complaints if Tina had been any particular ethnicity.  It might not have gotten as much attention, but the issue still would've been the same.
