toxicitizen
Zone of the Enders. Â Man, they're not kidding when they say it's short. It's about 6 hours long. There's not a whole lot to the gameplay, honestly. The combat is fast and fun but it gets rather repetitive pretty quickly. The story is terrible, the writing is cringe-worthy and the voice acting is atrocious. So I feel like being so short actually worked in its favor. I enjoyed it but I don't know if I would've finished it had it been twice as long. Â That being said, The 2nd Runner is supposed to be massively better so I'm looking forward to checking it out. It's not a bad game but there is a shit ton of room for improvement. Edited March 3, 2013 by FLD
madbassman39
just finished uncharted 3. Amazing game,as good if not better than the second game. The final boss was not as exciting as uncharted 2 but still a great game. If the series ends there i think that would be okay.
Waldorf and Statler
It probably won't. Like Indiana Jones the story revolves primarily around the adventure. There are still huge aspects where they could expand characters and as long as they can do that the game will go on.
TheFlyingGerbil
Do you think it could continue with a different character, like Assassin's creed, or do you think Drake is too linked to the franchise?
Waldorf and Statler
Nathan is too central to the series. At least imho. If you switch the character you might as well call it something else. Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider kept the same character. So should this.
Strangelove
Well, I finally beat P4G. I got it when it came out, but I stopped at the last dungeon. I was talking about the game to a friend a few days ago and it made me want to pick it back up where I left off. Great ending to a great game. I did find it weird that the game is still a few hours long even after the last boss fight.  Now I just wish P4A was on Vita. I cant play that game on my PS3. Waldorf and Statler
If it makes you feel better I played Arena because I wanted to spend some more time with these characters but.. it's a very shallow experience. It isn't worth it at all if you want to spend time with the characters.
Strangelove
Yeah, I felt the same way. Its the same problem Blazblue has. Adding so much dialogue and story to a fighting game is just...wrong.
Cyber Rat
I love BlazBlue, but the story mode made me hate words. Guilty Gear was much more to the point, thankfully. Although MK9 has the best fighting game story mode so far IMO. Â Finished Asura's Wrath. It's like all the good things from TTGL and Heavy Rain in one. The "Part IV" DLC was a bit repetitive at times, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it. Edited March 4, 2013 by Cyber Rat
Waldorf and Statler
Yeah, I felt the same way. Its the same problem Blazblue has. Adding so much dialogue and story to a fighting game is just...wrong. Â Honestly I thought that them adding story to the game would be cool. But having spent 50+ hour with this game being an OP main character to have to play different storylines in the fighter where everybody can beat him takes away from the original game. At least for me. Plus the story takes place before the extra scene in the true ending and kind of takes away from it. Not to mention gigantic text and simplistic formats to convey the story. It was a nice experiment idea but, for me at least, a failed attempt.
Strangelove
Which is a shame considering it's written by the P4 team. Well, at least the actual game is still sound.
CrowKnow
Darksiders 2, it was good, but not as great as 1. Â I was starting to get burned out about half way through the third act and the fourth felt rather rushed. Â Final boss wasn't all to interesting either, and since the ending could never live up to the first I was kinda okay with it.
toxicitizen
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.  Well, shit. This game is actually fucking awesome. It's much more linear and story driven than the first one (first one was slightly open in that there was some minimal exploration involved) but it's also much less repetitive and the combat is more varied. There were a few sections that made me rage pretty hard but I think my own ineptitude was at fault there rather than the game, because for the most part it's a blast. Some of the set pieces are quite memorable, including one where you basically take on an entire fleet by yourself.  It actually doesn't look half bad for a PS2 game. I really dig how it looks and feels like it's taking place in the future of the Metal Gear universe. I'm pretty sure it runs on the same engine as MGS2 and the visual style and sound design are both very similar, so it's hard not to make the connection.  Other than that, the story is absolute fucking nonsense. Seriously. Half the time I was just staring at the screen wondering what the fuck they were even talking about. But, unlike the first one, it's actually entertaining nonsense. The story bits in the first one were just excruciating (think the worst parts of MGS2 and multiply that by at least 11) but I actually enjoyed this one.   So, yeah, I guess now all I can do is join the ranks of those desperately hoping for a third one.
Mister Jack
Crysis 3. Â Got it from redbox and beat it in one sitting. Â Make of that what you will.
deanb
It's a modern FPS, of course it's short. Also means it pulled you in at least, which I can't say for ACIII.
Mister Jack
By one sitting I mean between 5 and 6 hours. Compared to Crysis 1 or even 2 it's just not worth the full price. It's not bad, just probably not what you are hoping for.

It's not bad, just probably not what you are hoping for. Â Crysis 2 was also super short. Â You don't buy a game like that for its single player campaign, anyways. Â Â I beat Vanquish. I hope they eventually do a sequel as that was tons of fun for a TPS.
toxicitizen
I don't remember Crysis 2 being that short. It was shorter than the first one but I think it lasted me something like 8-10 hours. And I'm not interested in Crysis for anything other than single-player. Was Crysis 2 mp even that popular?
Faiblesse Des Sens
8-10 hours? That's 2 playthroughs of Crysis 2.
