Waldorf and Statler
Besides weapons being a bit more bland in Infinite I don't personally see how you cannot like it. I mean personal opinion is everything but you need to expand more on why you didn't like it. Characters are fantastic so far so unless your problem is with the ending I haven't gotten to or gameplay mechanics...
NeoStarr
I like FPS games. I play GRO on the reg (which is third person but whatever). I just expected a lot more from Bioshock Infinite. Bioshock 1 and 2 were so creative in the way you could combo weapons and I found it really disappointing that they replaced that with a pretty generic cover based system. Didn't help that the battles drag out a lot longer and for many of them you don't have the same opportunities to plan your attack and sneak around to set traps and hack turrets and such. I didn't completely hate it either; I just didn't have a great time with it.
Waldorf and Statler
Well I won't lie that I am disappointed in terms of what you mentioned about the combo cool weapons and hacking shit. In fact I kind of miss having a little flying turret with me but Elizabeth kind of makes up for it. Â But yeah a lot of the creativity of the first one is missed in this one but I think they made up for it with the really solid character and dialogue between Booker and Elizabeth. I'd give the first game a higher rating in atmosphere and a total of 96 rating, the second had my favorite gameplay with a rating of maybe 85 and Infinite I'd have to give a solid

Waldorf and Statler
Yeah that game was another downer. Fuck downers and the way they get me emotionally involved.
Thursday Next
I beat Plants vs Zombies at the weekend. It finished with a sunflower singing a happy song about Zombies and lawns and such.
Strangelove
Assassin's Creed 3. Fun game, too short of an ending though.
Hot Heart
Tomb Raider. Essentially, I had to beat it twice because I got a game-breaking bug right near the end. Still, absolutely loved it. Will probably cobble together some thoughts in the appropriate thread (not the Boob Thread. LOL!).
Saturnine Tenshi
Lollipop Chainsaw. Good game. Not great, but good. It's charming and flippant and I enjoyed it.
Strangelove
Bioshock Infinite. Its definitely my GOTY so far. And to me it's better than Bioshock 1. Jesus Christ, what a great game.
toxicitizen
Beat Tomb Raider last night.  Man, that was a very, very good game. Arkham City-style semi-open world with better set pieces than Uncharted. What's not to love?  After playing Infinite on hard and finding the challenge to be just about right, I decided to give this one a shot on hard as well. I really enjoyed how lethal it made the combat. I would go down pretty quickly if I wasn't careful and that really added to the survival feel of the experience. I think going forward I might do this more often instead of keeping harder difficulties for subsequent playthroughs.  Other than that, I'd heard the campaign was about 16 hours long but around the 8 hours mark it became kind of obvious that that wasn't accurate. I didn't want it to end, though, so I put the story on hold and started backtracking and doing collectibles and challenges. Ended up beating it with 97% completion. I'm at 99% now and missing only a single mine that I spent an hour trying to find with no luck.  Anyway, I really hope the suits at Square Enix pull their heads out of their asses and realize that those sales expectations of theirs were batshit fucking crazy because if this doesn't get a sequel I'm going to be angry.
Strangelove
You need to play Uncharted 2 again. TR doesnt have better set pieces. Not even close.  Uncharted 3? Sure.  Though I will say Uncharted 3's ship section is probably the biggest set piece in any game so far.  Also, I think Arkham CIty has better game mechanics, a bit deeper and more inventive.  I loved TR BTW, but yeah. It is what it is.
TCP
I think I'm 75% done Tomb Raider, it really, really, reminds me of Arkham City but better, IMO. However, I disagree with "better set pieces than Uncharted". So far I haven't seen anything as impressive as the train sequence in UC2, and the buildings that burn down haven't been as impressive as they were in UC3. Not to say it's not impressive, but it's just not as good as Uncharted, IMHO. My other problem with Tomb Raider is the collectables. I appreciate them, and it does add more to the game, but when you get to a new area and your friend on the radiois screaming for you to help them, it takes a lot of the urgency and emotion out of the game to go around lighting statues, finding GPS caches, that sort of thing. I know a lot of games have this problem but Tomb Raider seems to be more obvious about it, probably because the game is so brutal to Lara and her friends.

It is what it is.  @Strangelove: Actually, you make a good point. When I said that, I was mentally comparing it to Uncharted 3. I don't think TR is better than U2 but it definitely is better than U3.  Other than that, I agree. It's not as Metroidvania as Arkham City and some large chunks of the island are fairly linear so it's not as open.  @Cowboy: True. I had the same feeling in Arkham City. Doing the side stuff was tons of fun but the pressure to continue with the story kinda worked against that.
Strangelove
The good thing about TR is that you can keep playing after the story is finished. You can do the side stuff afterwards.  I would have preferred new game+, but I guess thats more or less dead this year since no game has it anymore. toxicitizen
Same goes for Arkham. But very few games will keep me playing once the story wraps up. Arkham City had really fun side stuff (arguably more fun than the actual story, imho), so I actually wanted to keep on playing even without a story. Tomb Raider, not so much. The only reason I'm going to keep playing TR for a little bit more is because I'm missing a single fucking thing to get 100%.
NeoStarr
I've been locked away for days unlocking everything on Plague Inc. Been pulling late nights doing that damn zombie mission on brutal since Monday; finally got it this morning and that feeling is SO DAMN SATISFYING. Mister Jack
Beat Guacamelee but apparently there's a secret ending if you find six hidden collectibles, so I'm gonna do that. Maybe try to platinum it too.
