deanb
Wanting this year to have a bit more of an active MP gaming community going on. Work through the various issues that crop up when sorting this stuff out and make it as smooth as possible. Certainly something like the old "Mod Mondays" we used to have. We'd pick a new source mod (or repeats, we were particularly fond of a few) and play some MP of it. First step is we could do with knowing what MP games we all have. So I'm going to make up a Google Docs form so you can tick off what MP games you have n what not which should make it simple to just do a SUM and find that there's 20 folks with TF2, 10 with Borderlands 2 and only one with Total War. I'm sure if I was a brighter man I could make some kind of code that'd analyse the games a community has on Steam and slim it down to MP only titles and see the crossover. But I'm not. So before I do that (which'll be tomorrow since it's kinda late now) I could do with a rough list of games to add in to this form. I'll start, shout up any you have or can think of extra. PC Competitive: TF2, CS:GO(S/1.6), DOTA 2. Civ V, Total War(s), Dawn of Wars, Hawken, Planetside 2, DEFCON, Frozen Synapse, Tribes Ascend, Battlefield (3), Co-Op Borderlands (2), Saints Row 3, Torchlight 2, L4D(2), Killing Floor, Portal 2, Magicka, Dungeon Defenders, Orcs Must Die 2, Sanctum, Castle Crashers, Minecraft. PS3 MAG, DUST 514, CODs, Resistance (2), Killzone (2/3), LBP(2), ModNation Racers, All Star Battle, X360 CODs, Halos, Gears, Castle Crashers, hmm...wonder if Gdocs forms have a limit on entries Can always break it up into several forms. Anyway, add any suggestions, maybe an initial indication of games in particular you'd like to play. Then I'll throw up a form, make results public and move on from their. Mercurial
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Mount and Blade: Warband and With Fire and Sword, Black Light Retribution, Duels of the Planeswalker 2013, The Darkness 2, PVK2, and some other stuff I am too lazy to list. Also this http://altru.istic.net/steamcommon/compare.html?Metalcaveman,hakidia,the_cowboy_poet,toomanyluftwaffles,Chewblaha,elvenampersands,death_ninja,duskstrider,p4warrior,Stark%20Winter%20Lager,FLD,victoranalogy,MaliciousH,Vincentgrey,TheMightyEthan,deanbmmv Just took it off the forum profiles, but some of you don't have them listed or your profiles are private. deanb
See something like that would be neat (and I've seen similar in the past), just ones that limit it to MP games only, and in a much more readable list are next to non-existent. Thursday Next
You can add Portal 2 to PS3, especially given that it has that whole snazzy PS3/PC cross play stuff going on.
deanb
Oh yeah any multi-plat games will be added to their respective lists. Just didn't feel like repeating stuff (apart from Castle Crashers n CODs it seems). Kinda why it dwindles down to nothing come 360. What MP Wii U games are there, or is their not much of the internet MP variety? (Ones that you lot are likely or interested to play that is)
Luftwaffles
http://altru.istic.n...yEthan,deanbmmv Just took it off the forum profiles, but some of you don't have them listed or your profiles are private. Boy, from the looks of it FLD and I own way too many games. As far as stuff to play the only MP games I play regularly nowadays are ARMA and DCS, but I'm usually down for a game of Killing Floor, TF2, Left 4 Dead, Dota, Counter Strike, Battlefield, Chivalry, Starcraft, really anything. I know I've played with PXODites in most of those games before.

Cyber Rat
Just yell at me on Steam with INSTALL AND PLAY <GAME> WE ARE GETTING IT ON TONIGHT and I'll play whatever.
deanb
The main plan is to get a good idea of what cross section of games we have, when it comes to playing them it'll likely be along the lines of "come play this game tonight", probably on weekends. Just be a case of like come 9PM on Saturday someone hitting up a couple people going "Wanna play Tribes?" and them hitting up others then snowballing from there. As opposed to some formal event being organised ahead of time for a specific game as they don't always work out. And on top of that being able to check a list see what games you might have in common with other people and even organising something between yourselves, like some co-op Portal 2, or trophy hunting in a specific game or what not. Luftwaffles
Err, DCS? Digital Combat Simulator. It's that A10 button simulator the giantbomb guys like to stumble through. And yeah, as Cyber Rat said, probably the best way to do it is just to yell at me beforehand and I'll do my best to get whatever game you'd be playing installed. toxicitizen
Boy, from the looks of it FLD and I own way too many games. Hahaha, yeah. It's getting kind of ridiculous...
jayc4life
PC Competitive Burnout Paradise Just Cause 2 (when the JC-MP servers are up) Battlefield 3 Europa Universalis 3 Civilization 5 (+ Gods & Kings) XCOM Frozen Synapse GTA IV Co-Op Saints Row The Third Magicka Borderlands 1 Terraria Minecraft Guild Wars 2 Jamestown I also have CS:S and TF2, but don't very much fancy reinstalling either of these, since they update far more often than I actually play them. PS3 Gran Turismo 5 Uncharteds 2 and 3 Mortal Kombat Red Dead Redemption Max Payne 3 NHL 12 Modern Warfare 2 SSX Rock Band (2, 3, Blitz and The Beatles) WWE 13 and some PSN stuff that I don't know/remember off the top of my head
Baconrath
For the 360 I would *not* recommend Happy Wars. Sure it's what...the second f2p XBLA game after Aegis Wing? It's bordering on pay-to-win and most of the time you'd be sitting in a lobby. Although they have made some improvements to the matchmaking... MetalCaveman
PC Competitive: Hawken, PlanetSide 2, Team Fortress 2, Dawn of Wars. Co-Op: Borderlands (1 & 2), Magicka, Alien Swarm, Dead Island, Iron Brigade, Portal 2, Torchlight 2, Terraria. PS3 Competitive: Dead or Alive 5, BlazBlue Continuum Shift, Resistance 2, Wipeout HD. Co-Op: Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Resistance 2, Portal 2. I think Catherine has co-op but I'm not sure if it's online or offline.
deanb
Could people fill this out please, and then if it works I'll do it for PS3 and 360 too. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFhoQi1RYzBLaTJUZzlHQm5YTEFndXc6MA#gid=

Eleven
How do you guys usually play games like Borderlands, or Diablo? Do you bring in your characters, or what? I mean, level differences will kinda take out the fun in those games, right? I might want to join in on Borderlands 2, but I haven't even started it yet (shouldn't even have pre-ordered it!) deanb
New characters normally, specifically for playing with those people. Hence a bit of dedication needed to games like that. Also later today I'll be adding in a X360 and PS3 poll in here, and figuring a way of properly exporting the PC list so you lot can have an oggle.
