Saturnine Tenshi
Let me know if so. I bought the one at your shop. x:
Waldorf and Statler
haha it's fine. to be honest I don't remember selling it I think it was an error. I'm sure I'll get a new one at some point in the store. Either ways the island lets you rent a bug net while there and I'm pretty sure I've hunted the grand majority of the summer bugs in my town. Waldorf and Statler
not sure if this has been posted before, but oh god it's awesome. I can't wait to unlock the QR codes so I can download the pic of this and have it as a picture in my house.
Little Pirate
Now all my friends have the new Animal Crossing, and they're inviting me to play, too... I must resist... I must--
Waldorf and Statler
It's a pretty addicting game. The only thing that is getting me is that I've been decorating my house to look as classy and real life as possible and everybody in the game is criticizing me for it "you don't have enough fucking knick knacks and Nintendo themed items!" FMW
Well do you have any gyroids? I don't care if you're going for real life or not, without gyroids your house is nothing. Less than a house.
TheFlyingGerbil
Are they good for points? I hope not because I absolutely hate them.
Waldorf and Statler
I actually just started to dig up gyroids. I might add some later but right now my plans are: main room- living room- sofas, clocks, and later on a tv set. upper room- bedroom. Might expand it to 6x6. right room- office. Need a computer desk but plan in having that and a sofa there with some other office shit. left room- kitchen. Already have a decent amount of kitchen items. Might make this one 6x6 as well I'll then change the exterior look if given the chance to choose the modern house look and eventually add a basement to put basement-like shit. Like my astronaut haha. TheFlyingGerbil
Another temptation for New Leaf... Resetti had been sacked.
Waldorf and Statler
Is Resetti the only way to get paintings? I have yet to find any paintings. Either for my house or the museum.
TheFlyingGerbil
You get painting from Redd the fox, not Resetti. In previous games you used to talk to Lyle (the Happy Home Academy guy in Nooks Homes) and he'd say a day that Redd would visit and on that day a tent would appear somewhere in the village and Redd would sell you a painting you have to get verified by Blathers. Most of the stuff he sells is fake, but you can donate the real stuff to the museum. I don;t know when he starts appearing in New Leaf, everywhere I've read just says he appears once a week at the plaza, but I've yet to see him. Since donating a piece of art is one of the triggers needed for upgrading the museum I am itching for him to appear. Waldorf and Statler
Yeah. I've donated over 50% of fish and about 50% of insects to the museum. Doing my hardest donating the fossils but the speed of those donations is like 2-3 fossils a day.
danielpholt
I fear i've made a huge mistake in splashing out nearly 300,000 bells to get a 2nd floor in my nearly empty home. For a start, it's going to take me like 2 weeks to pay that loan back, and frankly the 2nd tier isn't really large enough to warrant that price tag. Fuck you Tom Nook; and your kids. FMW
I feel like I can't get a house expansion until the city has either a Resetti center or a Brewster's cafe. Those need to be priorities. Oh yeah, and also a bridge... but that one I'll just need to wait on.
Saturnine Tenshi
Just paid for the second bridge. How do you get the Resetti center and cafe?
Waldorf and Statler
Apparently the Resetti Center will be suggested to you the first time after you quit a game without saving.
TheFlyingGerbil
BDH, If you go to the island and bug hunt (I described it in a previous post above) you can pay off a loan in half an hour. I'm personally just glad the loans levelled out - I was worried it would just get bigger each time. My last public works project was the Dream Suite, my next one will be a third bridge, then I'll knock the original down and move it. Resetti is way down my list. Mostly because I always quit correctly so there's not much point. I can't wait for the café, I'm jonesing for some pigeon milk! you need 50 donations, with at least one of each type of exhibit, hopefully I'll be able to get that going soon as Redd finally visited today, I hope to god i bought the real painting but won't find out until tomorrow. I also got my Club LOL signatures today so that should be built soon too. All very exciting!
Waldorf and Statler
Yeah by bug hunting once/twice each day I tend to have savings of around 1.4 to 1.8 million each day after buying everything I wanna buy, upgrading my house and doing a public works project. I went ahead and paid off the resetti center because why the fuck not, they apparently give you paintings every now and again if you visit them after 8 pm or so. As to the Dream store thing I'm getting kind of pissed because apparently after 7 days of being mayor you should have been able to find Isabelle sleeping but I never did and that seems to be a requirement to bulld that. Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to do because I have the Night Owl town rule.

Tried your method out, and after filling my box i sold it all off for over 200k. I used half of it to pay off my 300k Bell house loan, and the rest to complete my towns second bridge. Waldorf and Statler
It takes me about an hour per island visit to get around 300+K. And that's considering that I go after 7 pm when the locusts stop appearing and the beetles have even more of a chance to spawn. Also regarding my Isabelle question I just realized it's been about 6 days since I became a mayor. My house is past the 70% mark now. I already got the modern house exterior and door I wanted, alongside the cement floor outside. All I'm missing now on my house project is: - buy the final extra room at the front which will become the restroom. - expand every room at least once [so that's 5 rooms] - Eventually buy either the bush fence or the concrete one alongside a new mailbox. - and finally it's to finalize all the furniture that I need. Anybody know if I visit towns will the house of that town appear in the house-showcasing area? Or is that exclusively for people you visit via streetpass? Waldorf and Statler
My decorating skills, now that I have more shit to work with, would put many women to shame. Also just discovered Reggie is in the HH showcase. I saved him as a favorite as he has a couple of useful items I definitely want. Already ordered 5 today. Reggie's house is gonna be my bitch
TheFlyingGerbil
You can get paintings from the Resetti Surveillance Centre? That's unexpected but cool news. "Anybody know if I visit towns will the house of that town appear in the house-showcasing area? Or is that exclusively for people you visit via streetpass?" It's just street pass unfortunately which is pants because I've yet to have a single one. I wish they'd spot pass the occasion one, e.g. on special occasions. edit: Apparently I'm wrong?! How did you get Reggie's house? Edited June 27, 2013 by TheFlyingGerbil
