Mal Posted July 21, 2020 Report Share Posted July 21, 2020 I think it's kind of sidelined just how cosmic horror-y FFVII is. Jenova is basically John Carpenter's The Thing. To be fair though, a shit ton of works back then had some form of cosmic entity that want's the planet (Lavos from the Chrono series and the above). Anyhow, I always liked Jenova's theme better than even One Winged Angel. The Remake version fucking slaps. Seems like Jenova is the final boss in the first chapter, which is a nice.
