TornadoCreator
This song is always stuck in my head, not sure why as I don't really like most of what this band produce.

Faiblesse Des Sens
http://pitchfork.com/advance/492-the-next-four-years/ The new United Nations album. Not much Geoff Rickley this time around but this is still really intense and sarcastic as ever. I guess Geoff was too busy forming No Devotion with the ex-members of Lostprophets. Eleven
Man, I love lostprophets. Too bad Ian is a sick bastard. I don't know Geoff Rickley except from Thursday, and while I did listen to them at some point in the past, I've moved on from that sound. I'm glad "Stay" (thanks for the link!) has their recognizable sound. I'm probably gonna miss the anthems though. I've always loved those (no matter what other people say!). TCP
Oh god this is surprisingly good, I haven't been the biggest fan of the past few Wilco albums, but the songs from Jeff's new project, Tweedy (Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and his 18 year old son) have been really strong, Jeff is always at his best when he has someone to partner with (Jay Farrarr in Uncle Tupelo, Jay Bennett on early Wilco, and Jim O'Rourke with A Ghost Is Born and Loose Fur), so maybe he has that with his boy. Just pre-ordered the album on coloured vinyl.

Hot Heart
This album is ten this year. I remembering hearing the full version of this track in Burnout 3 before the album came out, having only previously heard a live version without so many guitar hooks and slightly different (and worse) lyrics. Where did all the time go?

Eleven
Been listening to this while I work. Helps with concentration since there are no lyrics, just music. Of course it's not going to work if you hate wubs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oKyhEc8Gf0
Hot Heart
Going to need to give the album a few more listens, but right now, it's probably my least favourite of their The Resignation-onwards albums. It has some great tracks, no doubt, and it's better than 90% of other stuff out there but, given that this was a fully independent release, I was really expecting them to go even more experimental/progressive/out there. I had my initial fears when they released Stargazer early, and it sounded very pop-y and there are a few too many tracks in that vein. Still miss their horn section at times, too.
