Same song. Watch the first one for CC English and see if you can guess the theme and historical backdrop of the song. Second one for the music video will dispel any doubt (not sure if it's fan made). It's a woman's processing the lost of her husband (?) during the White Terror during Taiwan's Martial Law era from 1949 to 1987.

 

This song is sung in Taiwanese/Hokkien/Holo which lends it so much omph to it. Actually, this band is amazing:

 

Starts in Japanese and goes into Amis, one of Taiwan's Indigenous languages. The thumbnail image is also packed with symbolisms too, with the flowers (Dutch, Imperial China, Imperial Japan, Indigenous tribes that's now Christian???, ROC/modern Taiwan).

 

The first song is processing the White Terror while the second song is about Taiwanese identity. What heavy but amazing songs. This is how a society process their history and being. I'm obsessed with this band now and I only found them a few hours ago by complete accident.
