Holy shit. I've heard about this album but never got around to listening to it and I really wish I didn't wait until now as it's incredible. The poppish happiness of El Ten Eleven and My Dad Vs. Yours without sacrificing any of the math elements. Very much like if ETE decided to go more mathy instead of more dancey as their career went on.

El Ten Eleven was interesting. I think I always liked them more for the "holy shit doubleneck guitar/bass" or "that drummer is playing drums and keyboard at the same time" aspect than the actual music, which I always found kinda repetitive. Which is I guess just a side effect of having 2 members and a ton of loop pedals.

 

Their Paranoid Android cover is pretty amazing, though. Only band I've heard do justice to that song in a cover.

I'd still want to see them live if I had the chance just for that double necked guitar/bass bastard child.
