Hot Heart
This one took a little while to grow on me but, damn, that's two great EPs that Less Than Jake put out recently. These guys still have it!

fuchikoma
Newish Syrufit album... When I hear arrangements of this song it still makes me think of this one... which makes it a bit hard to take seriously, heh
Luftwaffles
Neon Indian's first album is so much better than the second.

SomTervo
Neon Indian's first album is so much better than the second. I can't decide yet: I love the first album, but thought the first two tracks of the second album sounded much stronger. Haven't really listened past them, though. After 6669, this is my fave:
Luftwaffles
Neon Indian's first album is so much better than the second. I can't decide yet: I love the first album, but thought the first two tracks of the second album sounded much stronger. Haven't really listened past them, though. After 6669, this is my fave: Yeah, I thought the second album was better as well until I listened to it again and realized all my favorite songs on it are the ones that sound like they could be off of Psychic Chasms. It seems like Era Extraña just sort of lacks the punch that the first album has. It went a lot more shoegazy I think, sounding a bit more like M83. That's not necessarily bad, I guess, just different. I just sort of miss their songs that sounded like this.
fuchikoma
Gotta thank my friend Mei for showing me these guys. Never would have found them otherwise. They're certainly Google-resistant!
TheFlyingGerbil
Song is pretty catchy, and the video cute and pretty funny at the end.
SomTervo
Just saw the Presidents of the United States of America live. They played a few singles, then played their whole debut album start-to-finish, then a couple of tunes to finish. How cheesy some of their stuff is really comes across live... The debut album somehow has a really unkitch tone though, it avoids the cheesiness altogether. Hearing it all live was incredible, and just like (or better than) the trecord. EDIT: I should probably add how actually good the show was. Great stuff. Edited March 12, 2012 by kenshi_ryden

Luftwaffles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bUYECEhn0A Listening to their new album a bit. It's okay, I suppose. Sounds a lot like Spoon, but I like Spoon. Nothing they do will ever be as good as Percussion Gun, though.Edit: Media link debauchery. Luftwaffles
Been listening to their new album most of tonight. It's really not bad. I've never really been a fan of the Shins as a band, always sort of preferred the stuff James Mercer did with other people, but I like it. It doesn't really do anything new, but it's nice, pleasant, easy to digest indie pop.
