madbassman39
I want to read the Dark Horse series called "The Star Wars" which is a comic book adaption of the original Star Wars script. http://www.darkhorse.com/Comics/22-824/The-Star-Wars-1-Nick-Runge-cover The Description from the Dark Horse webpage: "Annikin Starkiller is the hero . . . Luke Skywalker is a wizened Jedi general . . . Han Solo is a big green alien . . . and the Sith . . . Well, the Sith are still the bad guys. High adventure and derring-do from longer ago, in a galaxy even further away!"
TheRevanchist
'Tis a shame that Dark Horse might soon be out of the Star Wars game and it will revert back to Disney ala Marvel. Dark Horse did quite well in their representation of the brand.

TheRevanchist
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/film-news/10422635/Star-Wars-Episode-VII-may-return-to-grittier-roots.html Yes! A good western is hard to find, aside from spaghetti westerns and western bacon cheeseburgers from Carl's/Hardee's.

madbassman39
I really hope that Episode VII is at least a return to formula of the original trilogy. No boring Jedi please. We need a rag tag team who get together despite their differences to over come impossible odds, not a political debate between cardboard characters who can't love and villains whose only purpose of being evil is to be the bad guy complete with slow walking through computer animated sets.
Strangelove
Anyone young/old enough to have watched this in 1999? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icvC8Os1yJA So much mediocrity in one 30 minute special. Jam packed full of crap. It's so bad.
CorgiShinobi
All I remember about Star Wars in the 90's is when my family won free tickets to the "remastered" A New Hope in theaters through the Pepsi promotional contest. My father, being uber Type A cleanly as he is, threw them away because they were bottle caps with a code to redeem the tickets. That, and when Pepsi also did the character profiles for Phantom Menace on their 12 oz. cans, which at the time I thought was cool. I was also 12 and a huge nerd (only difference now is that I'm 25). TheRevanchist
Man, do I hate the corporate BS VPs and PR people pump into the void. Blah, blah, blah, and nothing is said. http://marvel.com/news/comics/2014/1/3/21703/lucasfilm_and_marvel_join_forces_to_publish_star_wars_comics 2015 the comics move to Marvel. deanb
Bwahaha. Ooh I got a brand new star destroyer and I'll give you the key. It sounds like a bad cosplay adaptation, but it's more real than anyone else could do.

deanb
Loads of Prequels concept art: http://imgur.com/a/sOQ33 Grievous certainly went through a lot of body designs, but seems his face was nailed the first time. Also minor warning: naked Jar Jar. Certainly seems to be a lot of this stuff coming out of the works (almost like some carefully orchestrated marketing endeavour leading up to a new trilogy of films), but I don't mind.

Mr. GOH!
I loathe the stupid lightsaber cross-guards. Edited October 29, 2014 by Mr. BOO!
TheMightyEthan
That looks even more dangerous than the double-bladed lightsaber. "OWW! Oh God, my wrist!"

Mr. GOH!
Lightsabers would be dangerous anyway, Ethan, since there's no weight to the blade to give the user feedback as to its position. That's one of the in-universe reasons why folks who can't use the Force don't use them; it takes a sixth sense to wield a lightsaber and, improtantly, train with a lightsaber effectively. The cross-guards just look super dumb, though. Edited October 29, 2014 by Mr. BOO!
