Mister Jack
I'm trying to use Nvidia's game sharing feature that is apparently a thing now, but when I open GeForce experience there is no share button in the corner, only the shadowplay button. I'm positive that I'm using the newest version of GeForce too, so I don't understand why I can't use the feature. Anyone else using an Nvidia card who can confirm whether the button says share or shadowplay? Edit: Well I got it working except that the feature isn't supported on any of the games I'd want to share so it kinda defeats the whole point. toxicitizen
Since I know there's a few SMT fans on here, might as well post that Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is coming west as Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse this summer. There was little doubt it would eventually come but this is much earlier than I expected. I really hope it won't be too close to Dragon Quest VII, making time for just one massive JRPG is already hard enough these days. So, I guess that means I need to finish Persona Q already so that I can get started on SMTIV...
TheMightyEthan
I just want confirmation of a release date for P5.
toxicitizen
Well, at least you know for sure that's coming eventually. I'm still hoping for a PC version announcement...
TCP
Everyone knows great RPGs take at least 17 years to come to PC.
toxicitizen
That's only if you're Square-Enix. Sega is a bit faster, Valkyria Chronicles only took 6 years! Edited April 14, 2016 by FLD
deanb
If you're a Hearthstone player they've released a new expansion n game mode, and with it you can get a bunch of packs for free through logging in and through playing in the new game mode. TheFlyingGerbil
I'm surprised how many people are excited about a home console potentially being cartridge based again.
TheMightyEthan
Are people excited about it? It seems weird, but it kind of makes sense considering the rumors that NX will be a console/handheld hybrid.
Mr. GOH!
I think it may also make the NX cheaper to manufacture; no blu-ray licensing fees and no complicated disc reader, just a relatively simple cartridge slot with no moving parts. I suspect the increased cost of cartridges versus discs as media will be passed onto the consumer, though, via higher game prices. I also think it will also make for fewer installed games and maybe small in-console HDDs; the bottleneck in pushing graphics to the screen in a disc-only system is the slow disc read speed, which has led to more installed games this generation (or so I've been told; it seemed true for the last gen, too). No disc reader and cheap silly-small HDDs (I'm thinking 32GB or less) will lower the cost of the NX to produce so Ninty can make money on just selling it rather than on the backend through game and peripheral sales (though they will also sell peripherals).
TCP
If my N64 carts aren't backwards compatible, I'mma be pissed.
TheMightyEthan
@GOH: There were a lot of games last gen that did installs, this gen literally every game installs all its data to the HDD (barring WiiU), the disc is essentially just a CD-check like old PC games. Mr. GOH!
That's my impression. So if the NX is cartridge-based, it Nintendo can skimp on the built-in HDD and make the thing cheaper to manufacture. I wonder how Nintendo will deal with patches and DLC; will the cartridges have space for that sort of thing?
deanb
http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/ansel-revolutionizing-game-screenshots This is pretty neat, be nice functionality to have cos sometimes the screenshots you can take are a bit funky. Shadow of Mordor had this kind of stuff and I quite liked the ability to mess around in-situ with the framing n effects n such.
toxicitizen
Phantom Brave coming to Steam in July. Never actually played this one but it's a Nippon Ichi SRPG, so if it's anything like Disgaea it's probably excellent. I know I'll be getting it. Also, that's another confirmation for that leaked list from a few months back. At this point, I feel like pretty much everything major on it has either already released or been confirmed to be coming.

toxicitizen
I wouldn't necessarily rule it out just yet. That one is likely handled by XSEED and we all know how they love announcing shit at the very last minute. Hell, when they don't it seems to backfire. TitS SC is now infamous for its delays and even caused delays for Corpse Party PC. And then last fall they announced a bunch of games for Spring/Summer 2016 and not a word about any of them since. At the very least, Xanadu Next should've been out by now.
FMW
Question: Do we know what Michel Ancel's team is up to over at Ubisoft? They put out Rayman Origins which was pretty good and then they put out Rayman Legends which was great. I feel like it's been long enough that we would have heard about their next project by now. It's been almost three years since Legends came out. Question 2: Do we know what the Child of Light team at Ubisoft is doing? It's been two years since that one came out and unless they got promoted to big AAA budget then I would think that we would know about their new game too. Especially if they're building on the established UbiArt engine again. Where are all my good Ubisoft games? =( I'm not super into their open world franchises (Far Cry/Assassin's Creed/Division/whatever) but I'm a big fan of a lot of their smaller stuff and I just realized that we don't even know what that side of the company is doing, much less when those titles will come out. Did I just miss some headlines?
TheFlyingGerbil
Last rumour I heard about Michel Ancel's team was Nintendo funding the completion of beyond good and evil 2. Obviously I would take that news with an artery bursting amount of salt but I will have it as a small hope in the back of my mind come March. edit: ancel is working on wild, at his own indie studio, but still works for Ubisoft so I can keep my bg and e 2 dream alive-ish. Hot Heart
Goshdarnit, it sounds like the new TMNT game from Platinum was mostly made by the Legend of Korra team, plus they lied about it being 60fps. Which I wouldn't care about except for the fact that that was the reason they said the game couldn't handle local co-op. It'll probably still be alright fun, and it's a relatively budget price release, but it sounds quite shallow and that is disappointing. toxicitizen
Yeah, it really sounds like it was rushed to be out in time for the movie. Not too surprising coming from Activision but it sucks since a Platinum-made TMNT game could be so fucking great. They weren't rushed with Transformers and from what I heard that one's pretty damn good. :/
Hot Heart
Oh, no doubt it was rushed or not given full support from Activision or whatever. The fact that the "levels" are just bland sort of open-world things is a lame decision though. The previous TMNT could've been great if the developers had more time, I reckon. All they really needed was to tighten up the controls and fix all the bugs (along with a bit more polish, I guess).
