Saturnine Tenshi
Atelier Escha & Logy Alchemists of the Dusk Sky I'm not even sure who reads these anymore, if anyone. Maybe MetalCaveMan? MaliciousH? And for that reason, I'm not really going out of my way to organize this one. Well, if anyone does, I've been keeping up with this one for two reasons: I run a Gust blog on Tumblr, and I actually enjoyed Atelier Ayesha despite the mostly awkward English voices and lack of a voice track due to the (very unfortunate) shift in how the game is handled in the West (no longer by NIS America). That considered, Ayesha was the first in the "Dusk" series—Atelier tends to run in series for those who aren't aware. Salburg, Gramnad, Iris, Mana, Arland. Dusk marks a new art direction and thematic direction; the series is noticeably darker. So, voice acting notwithstanding, a welcome entry in Atelier. Escha & Logy is due out in Japan at the end of this month, and is going to be using the DW2 engine (Gust had been using Sony's proprietary engine before). It has some subtle gameplay differences, but it's the same game at the core. Most of what's new in terms of the engine is the character detail. As if they weren't already detailed enough. Anyway, have some videos: Trailer Event Combat Alchemy
MetalCaveman
Only Atelier game I've played is Atelier Rorona (haven't finished it yet ) so I don't really know much about these games, that said, this one looks cool so I'll keep an eye on it. Saturnine Tenshi
Ah, well, it was worth a shot. I know you're into the Hyperdimension Neptunia games. Rorona was a rough point for Atelier because it was the first 3D (and PS3) game Gust developed. I'd rank Atelier Ayesha as my (close) second favorite Atelier thus far—first where many of the mechanics are concerned. So hopefully Escha & Logy follows suit. Tecmo Koei seems to have learned from its blunders with Ayesha and Atelier Totori Plus, but I'm going to have to wait and see on that one.
