I actually took a figure drawing class once. It was a good experience even though I didn't keep practiced up at all and I still can't draw faces or hands very well.

But I do end up with random stuff like this when I dust off the Ol' Wacom:

...yeah.

I usually doodle (too much) in my notebooks during classes, mostly robots and spaceships and lots of pew pew lasers. I think it helps me concentrate. I also like making random MS Paint pictures for Facebook birthdays instead of regurgitating "happy birthday."

I tried that once, ended up with everyone bashing me for being old and drawing poorly and in MS paint.

People just dont appreciate crude drawings anymore.

Been thinking I should start drawing again, but every time I set myself to do so I get apathetic. This was just done at work since I was bored, I never finish any of these drawings because I don't like proportions. I should also add that I hate my handwriting. Click for it to ZOOM and see some RADICAL details.

I tend to get a little discouraged now and then--especially on DeviantArt where you just see a mass of AMAZING works from people that like... 13-14 years old. But I mostly do it for fun. For a while I used to think I would make my own comics but I guess I never really took myself that seriously. Still, it's fun and almost therapeutic for me to draw.
